Spent the weekend on my boat, moved a lot of stuff from home up and a lot of stuff I did not want packed away and moved off, also getting familiar with how things all work, weather was a bit rough to take it out for a first time but when it’s calm will take it to the dock to fill and empty all the different tanks, back home now to start ripping out the bathroom in my house new one going in from tomorrow to make things ready for the tenants, so will be back and forward for a week or so before I get my hernia repaired on the 30th then as soon as I,m up and about I’ll be gone, dogs took 24hrs to

No they were never there together the animal has walked along the hedge toward the camera and as it’s turned right to exit the field through the hole it’s arse has triggered the camera, I,m quite sure because of the circumstances that it is the cat I,m after as I also found claw marks on a log in the hedge that were the right size, for a cat, it’s been seen there by 4/5 different people and has left a couple of hollowed out carcasses in the same area, this is just the ground work I have to do before I start trapping the area properly next spring ,have spent 2 years putting all the pieces toget

It’s around 20 inch,s tall mate had 500 pics of cows on the same card and none that size the farmer comes and puts 5he cows on the foreshore every morning and takes them in at night, that animal went through a hole in the hedge just before the cows came in, here’s a young deer they come and go through the same hole ?

Love watching the sky at night but have a lot of light pollution were I am, one of the things I,m really looking forward to when I get gone is low light pollution, here’s a question for you, since that space X thing began they have allegedly been firing hundreds of satellites up yet I,m not seeing any more than before, was wondering are they a lot smaller and therefore not visible or is there another explanation cheers ?

On my other boat I keep an old fashioned kettle on the wood burner then give it 2 mins on the gas hob to boil mate, I,m the reverse of most things modern, make a small oven out of two baking trays and cook a full meal in it on top the wood burner as well, jacket spuds in the ash tray underneath, it’s all a man like me needs, the modern bits are to appease the other half

If it’s any consolation I live in an area I can’t even get coal delivered to my house, I,m on the edge of an industrial estate that strips the paint off your car and leaves it layered in black shit but am told I,m not allowed an open fire, well f**k that have been burning everything and anything for years and won’t stop, happy to go to court if there is any law that forbids me from keeping warm bring it on I won’t stop, especially as they have just built 2 new power stations on the foreshore near me that burn rubbish to generate leccy, if we all stopped bending over and playing the game the ga

Nothing to core drill a hole in the wall and run a flue up the outside of the building, house by me has no chimney but wood burner in the front room double lined flue goes through the ceiling and acts as a big radiator as it goes up through the landing, through the loft and out through a vent tile in the roof, you don’t need a chimney to have a wood burner just the will to warm yourself without being reliant on anyone else

I recently went to buy some gear off a bloke in Somerset, nothing dodgy, but arranged to meet him in a golf club car park on the edge of the mendips, lovely spot, within about 10 minutes of meeting the bloke he was telling me they have to many buzzards now and shoot them as they are a pain on the local pheasant shoot, I told him I did not want to hear that and suggested not many would and he should hush his gums, not bothered what people want to do and am not naive enough to think nothing goes on but chatting to a strangers about these things is the problem, i turned up on an estate in Glouces

Looking at the cost and limited supply of good 12v appliances and the low draw, availability and cost of 240, I,m looking to go 240 through an inverter mate solar should be enough from March to September then I,ll use a genny to charge the battery’s and go into a marina for December January and February and be hooked up to mains, or that’s the plan so far ?

The electricity theft is going to be massive once they have forced everyone over, I was saying to some one on the weekend if diesel or petrol was running through people’s homes it would be robbed blind, get half a dozen houses a year round here catch fire from bad connections on jumped electric, so when folk are running cars on it will be 10x worse

When I was in school we were very inclusive, no matter what your colour, race or religion was you still got stuck down the toilet headfirst and had the flush pulled on your first day and no one was left out apart from one black lad, not through racism just simply he had a huge nagging and would not fit in the bog which brought as much amusement as if he was flushed ??

Cheers for that, think the 6volt deep cycle fork lift type lead acid battery’s still seem to be best value for money have spent nearly all day doing a power audit working from amps to watts to kilowatts and back again does my nut in will probably take me less time to fit it all than it will to calculate how big a system I need, but have come to the conclusion I need 500watts of solar panels a 2kw inverter 500 amp hours of battery and a 40amp mppt charge controller, that along with a bit of juice from the alternator when running should give me enough power to run a fridge, freezer, telly, light

The development of all this shit gets the head spinning a bit especially for an old dog like myself, just been in the battery place to sort some solar equipment out, had on my shopping list Trojan 6v deep cycle battery,s rigged up in tandem to make a 12volt battery bank but am now told to use deep cycle carbon 12volts instead only made my plans up a week ago and they are out dated already ??
