Yes mate my van is now parked up on sorn used as a storage space and I have a company van plus fuel card, feels quite nice putting £120 of derv in the tank without the pain, I need it in the short term while I get a few more things sorted then I,ll go down to part time hopefully by next winter ?

Sorry I haven’t read all the reply’s but I have just done what you have said, I,ve worked for myself all my working life, in the final year I was getting more pissed off with customers etc who suddenly appear to know more than the people they employ to do the work because they have watched a video, also the tax man has slowly removed all the cash incentives that made self employment worth doing, now he gets his grubby little mitts on every penny you earn and cash has become a swear word, I,ve started working on the books this year am now on my second job and actually quite enjoying the lack of

Very strong urge to jump out a hot air balloon when it popped through the clouds, you know you can’t walk on clouds but still have a strong urge to find out ?

Simon Townsend I believe is the man in oz, he has done an episode on the big cat podcast but also has his own podcast in oz if you fancy a listen ?

Go to the second part of episode 9 on the podcast mate, dr Andrew Hemmings explains the tooth pit work they do at the RAU, ?

Bottom one is quite an old one but the top one is new to me, any story with it, looks like two animals rather than one ?
-
The bottom pic got quite a bit of credibility because it was filmed by a copper and the cat walked across the track so the size could be worked out biggest problem with the black ones is they do look just like a house cat apart from the size and the tail, this is a nice little film also gives a good view of how small they actually are in height and how easy they can be confused

We do do dna tests and yes we do pay for them, I don’t personally but most of it comes out of ricks pocket, I,m just a foot soldier as it were, it’s known as citizen science I wander round looking for carcasses, footprints strands of hair on fences etc and pass them on to the biologists, scientists and vets who sort through it all, I,m not to sure about the dna testing myself and would like to send some zoo samples off to see what they come back with, a bloke in Australia has done it with several leopard scats he got from the zoo and they always come back and tell him they are dingo or dog shit

The forensic side of it is more important to me than the perfect picture, which is why I don’t worry to much about it I know it’s already out there but without all the other relevant evidence a perfect picture could have been taken anywhere in the world and sent any were in the world in a matter of seconds, which is why to me the 200 + bone samples with laboratory confirmed cat tooth impressions from big cats on them mean far more to me than a clear picture ,we have lots of deer ones a few sheep and even wild bore, if your interested the latest pod cast on bigcatconversations is from France an

You are right mate it is a mine field of idiots, you would also be quite surprised how far people will go with hoax,s as well which is something I struggle to get my head round, but a lot fall at the first hurdle by refusing to have the picture scaled or refusing to give the location, I,ve stuck these pics up before but this was the picture that started all this and when the woman that took the picture was contacted she was willing to give up the pics and location so we could go there and do photo scalings the animal is the right size and in an area were regular sightings occur and even the lo

Greyman replied to SheepChaser's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Your right mate I do no a few lads that drive the fields and think they’ve had a good night if they get to right a few police cars off on the way home in a chase and none of them keep a dog for more than a season ? -
So these are your heros testing their dogs ?
Greyman replied to SheepChaser's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
The thing is I,m quite glad those people are around as it takes the spotlight away from the likes of me, the police are just looking for dodgy 4x4s and groups of men with packs of dogs and everybody just ignores the old fella who’s out walking all the time I tip my hat to farmers and farm workers make a point of getting seen by people and everyone just thinks I,m part and parcel we’re as in truth none of them no me were I come from or were I disappear off to at the end of the day, I love sitting in a little hidey hole watching people running round like headless chickens looking for me, not had -

I was just happy to see Lopez senior shut the f**k up, he makes Eubanks senior look like a model father in the boxing game, a more obnoxious bloke would be hard to meet but he couldn’t wait to run away after that, always feel sorry for kids living in the shadow of an arsehole like that, cracking fight as well ??

Oh yes ?

I have sealskin socks, not the cheapest but after years of being pissed off with leaky boots they are the bollox, I wear a thin pair of normal socks inside for extra comfort also have some 1000 mile socks good for walking as they are twin skinned so take away the friction that can cause blisters and that is my sock advise for today ?
