    the photon will be used next time si and just chomping at the bit on branchers -but reckon back end of April or early May as last time I was up there [scottish borders] they were just finished repairing old nests -I was soooo tempted to drop a few but why spoil a good thing eh? haha... i know what you mean i drive past a few good rookeries on the way to work... time to knock on a few doors me thinks there are fields and fields of free range pigs, the sky is black some days

    Nice one ftm...Rat bashing=guilt free soothing I've been on farms where I've only seen a few during the day but there alive on a night, Use to use the lamp but when I bought a photon it opened up a new world! Not the best n/v about but cheap and more than capable for ratting... it's kept me busy and happy all winter Just waiting for your mammoth crow bashing posts to come up soon... get the wheel barrow back out!!     id have a punt at the bluechron, there was an other model about but they were like rocking horse sh!t, i couldn't get hold of one... so i bought a crombo, the one I've got is mega light sensitive, in the right light its spot on but lots of lads on here use combo's and are happy with them! you can pick up a crombo for less than £50 online if you look about! if you buy the bluechron put a post up cos it'll be interesting to see what you think of it if id not bought an f1 chrony the other week id be ordering one now good luck with your choice atb si

    Yep. Do it. Just to see if we can make this happen. Jesus. Registering a shot on a combi at 30 yards... I actually dont think its possible logistically... press the button, leg it back, take the shot, the sodding thing will have turned itself off by the time I get back to the rifle. never had you down as a defeatist rezmond with a free beer sweetener

I don't know where all this has come from... bloody brownie bringing it up. haha... it was your idea!! thought of a way to do it without fcuking your gizmo up rez... bit of plate steel drill a hole to match the combo sensor channel and some blue-tac bluepeter style

    can you get your hands on a chrony rez?! if so set it up at your usual/average rabbit range and see what fps/ftlb its delivering... your getting into the bc nightmare got to admit the softer jsb's make a right crack but the h&n hunters just stop stuff in there tracks atb si

    only done at 20m rez so not really a true test ideally id want 40 but that would mean me standing in the front garden shooting through the front door out the back door and through me garage window haha.... I've thought about it!!

    bit more geek sh!t express 823@11.88 super domes 790@11.50 acc ft 774@11.44 ftt 767@11.26 fap 851@11.74 mags 698@11.43 sniper sh!te 808@10,87 aa field.... powers up slightly after messing with adjuster 797@11.85 superfield 784@11.46 some good pellets in there to choose from... the baracuders don't load very smoothly and i think there getting deformed resulting in flyers! single loader required for bird bashing

    finally got some time to myself so its testing time for the .177 slimline had a few goes with it on friday before i had to get the kids from school but was p!ssed off cos the one pellet i really wanted it to like is a non starter:( the h&n barracuda hunter extreme only chrono'd the three aa field 781@ 11.7 h&n extreme 747@11.9 jsb heavy 721@11.8 no problem with the power all 13 shot groups at 20m just as a guide to what it likes... no re zero or pull through found most pellets close up after the first 3 shots so some of the groups that look sh!te aren't really that bad....
