Get it out as soon as you can and as often as you can as you are already behind the game, at 9 months my bushing terriers are smashing through the cover, you need to get out with lads that are really hitting the cover regularly, when your pup hears the hue and cry it will join in and learn quickly, good luck D, Plucky

That sounds very gay .......... Socks, there's plenty of love for you as well if you're feeling left out,Plucky

Well, I've only just found this thread and spent an hour digesting it and I must say it was very inconsistent from the start, it reminds me of an old mate I hunted, lamped, ferreted with in the 90's, he fell on hard times after he was divorced and hit the bottle, I called for him one stormy night to go lamping on some land behind his house and he was a bit worse for drink as it was his birthday, after him falling over every fence and cutting his head on barbed wire I told him to feck off home as he was of no use to us,me and my other mate had a great night killing a large mixed bag, next day I cal

I think winning Olympic gold was always gonna put him in the lime light mate, no avoiding it I'm afraid dosnt stop them going the traditional route british title an few defences then european title with bit luck in couple years he be fit for anybodyNot denying that mate, my point was his profile was huge before he even turned pro, he was a house hold name. Not many turning pro have that burden... ...Audley Harrison same hype...early fights on tv...and then...... Ordinary Audley was always a lazy fighter ,he spent too much time training in bed with the ladies and not enough time in th

I swapped a bitch pup with him around that time and he Defo got the better deal, the bitch was weak and could not stay to ground, had eye infections all the time, she lost both eyes and was PTS in the end, Plucky

How's it bred out of interest ? what lines ? thanks, Plucky

I've watched this kid from an amateur due to his outstanding ability, I think if they manage him carefully and not allow him any big fights until he is a more established rings man not allowing anything to change his pre fight plan by losing his cool then he will reign for a long time in this division, the danger is greed from the management for a big pay day and pushing him in before he is ready, Plucky

Did Or Does Anyone Make A Living Out Of Work There Lurchers
Plucky1 replied to bob84's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I've done it many times over and you need the outlet for large numbers when you get them in numbers, no use killing to leave them rotting or sat in the freezer for months on end, Plucky -

Am Glad To Swap The Crutches Back To The Spade?
Plucky1 replied to da slayer's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
Still be a while Slayer, the uneven ground will play havoc for a while yet also putting all your weight on one foot through a spade can test it, good luck with your recovery and for whats left of this season just go easy, Plucky -
Who bred that then ??

Dream on mate,if you could we would all be rich, Plucky -
you still can,t win as you will always upset somebody,do you pick a big terrier that's showing heavy signs of serious work or go for a nice smaller type with less obvious signs of work, the most marked are not necessarily the best workers,it really is about what the judge actually likes and works himself, Plucky

I have seen the opposite at Llangollen, many lads turned up with smashed up dogs that were dug to that morning in order to get a quick reputation, these lads were also one of the reasons it was stopped, the huge crowds eventually shut down the town, the police just could not handle it,there is nothing to be gained by taking damaged terriers to shows especially in towns where people that know nothing of terrier work, they only see the damage and not the worker we do,Plucky
-
I went to most of the llangollen shows for the craic and meet old friends, also liked to see the standards of different terriers on show but never showed a terrier or lurcher myself, I don't think I ever even took a dog there, met some great lads there though and some are still friends today, shows are a social occasion and not to be taken serious but I have seen lads fighting over daft stuff, Plucky

Cushty, do you Know a good young lad named Nathan Gorman, cousin of Fury living in Wrenbury,Cheshire, only a kid and just turned pro boxer in the Hatton stable, he is another big lad, found it hard to get a fight even with England as an amateur, won his first pro fight the other month and I will be following this kid as I know his dad John, he has the skills to make a mark in this division ,he weighs in around 18 stone and I wish him well for the future, he is a real nice kid and runs a few lurchers, Plucky

Your deluded and now nout about boxing Aj will be lost running after fury like a lost sheep while fury is jabbing him at will Fury is the worst technical boxer I've ever seen and even richard dunne was better than him, enjoy your short time in the sun butterfly, I hope we see a better Klitchko in the rematch as even an old man half fit will put fury to bed early, PluckyThen why didn't Wvlad do it in the first fight he isn't going to learn new tricks at 40 year old after fighting a certain way over the years I would say yet another betting scandal, this is where the big syndicates make
