  1. Please don't bull me up Plucky. At best I could be described as an amateur at this game, with dogs that most wouldn't give kennel space to although I'm not a bad shot with an air rifle. I can't be lumped in with the likes of socks who make a living from this sort of thing The few conversations I've had with you I thought you were a proficient ferreter but don't worry mate Socks and TH will look after you, you're only ferreting rabbits in an enclosed space, they have nowhere to go and any holes should be shallow, I'll mop up the rest when you're gone, I'll be down that way tomorrow myself on
  2. He looks a nice sort mate, I bred one similar years ago for my brother, is it your first terrier, good luck and I hope he is all you wanted,WM
  3. Nice one Keith as usual,no need for pm's now I can post as myself, is that Johnny's lad then, he looks a keen sort as it looks freezing there, dogs are looking driven in them pics, see where "Wilf" gets it from,no half measures LOL's, WM

  5. your right foxdropper warfarin was the first generation poison but then came a lot of resistance to that.... so the modern poisons now are all what they call second generation... bromadilone, brodifacoum, difenacoum, difetialone flocoumafen. but when used outdoors they can be lethal so have to be set in tunnels or boxes so only your target species takes the bait... and I have seen quite a few pestys not caring how the present it round a farm, then you have alphaclorose great for winter times or coldstores anywhere below 10 degrees... but vit K wont work on them for these all attach to the l

    Partridge?

The RSPB is mainly run by volunteers and don't have a clue, there are 1 or 2 that are knowledgeable but they are few and far between, I've done plenty of pest control on Deeside and Burton sanctuaries and its all about money, membership and hide watching, most are elderly with little or no idea, I took them a dead immature hobby a year or 2 ago and they never had a clue what it was, they even told me they never nested there and yet I've seen them there for at least 40 yrs, public donation and image they are good at ,but bird id then sorry you waste your time, you definitely seen a covey of partr
  7. I will be on a few surrounding sites next week and by co-ordinating our efforts it will hopefully eradicate the main problems, your contract was to fence and destroy the rabbits within the solar farm as I understand it, good luck and the 2 lads OTR and TH are both excellent rabbiting men, very experienced, with plenty of kit, Wirralman
  8. There's nothing I like more than contributing to this forum TH but if you post anything with Plummer on its trolled by FD, I actually had 2 of the top 10 posts on here until I removed the pics on the lurcher section, the d80 is the past, that was updated and a few more lenses were added last year, I take many pics of all sorts of nature, not just my dogs, no I was never csd88 but after being blocked on login as WC I tried to join as 2 other names but was never allowed due to it being a multiple account so my mate joined me as Mr plummer, after my spat with you I was then blocked from logging in
  9. I have a lot of good mates that are from over the water so don't be at it, I live clean and I expect my mates to be also, like minds and all that, Plucky1
  10. So it must of disabled itself then on at least 2 alias's and both without warning, next you'll be saying nobody can read our pm's, a wise lad told me when I first joined that never to put in a pm anything that you don't want the mods to hear, that now appears the case, Plucky

  19. Modern bait poisons are meant to be accumalative so that no one dose is enough to kill anything so as to avoid death by accidentally eating of bait, it normally takes a few days of eating it to make it fatal but once the process has gotten so far not charcoal or anything else will save it, Plucky 1
  20. What Branch of the Stevens dinasty did your stuff originate from mate as I have some too .Another line if you like . all my stuff came from friends and keepers mate so don't know their history, the bitch I am off to get next week is only 8 months old but is very tidy, mainly parks bred, she comes off decent stuff though and if she is as good as the others she will do OK,Plucky
  21. FD, I agree on the blacks but have used all types down the years and have seen some strange looking stuff that did a job, I always keep an open mind when it comes to dogs as I have pre judged a few and been made to look foolish when they,ve stayed till dug

  23. Nowhere does it say anything about black dogs ,white dogs or pink dogs .You know what I mean therefore don't twist it . no twisting mate just curious as to what types you consider worth keeping ?? Do you think any of the other terrier types are of any use ?? Not a go at you but a genuine question, Plucky
