Cracking group for an old girl at that range mark..would be well happy with that Atb steg -
Here's the heavy's yesterday si..40 paces lazed 38 yards. 5 shots prone off the pod outside..slight right to left breeze. Didn't bother rezeroing or pulling the barrel through either. Hanging around the 11.90 on the chrono too. Will have some of them in the new year. Atb steg ..

Had a look out this morning..bit nippy but fresh and crisp with it. Got to one of my favourite sitty tree and found this.. Wind's been a bit stronger than l thought! Still managed a few..give it till 11.30 and stuck some paper out at 40 yards and tried some heavy's that si sent me up before I headed off. An enjoyable morning.. a few birds and a bit of pellet testing..nice!

Mid forties now..pint of grapefruit juice every morning when I first wake..followed by a coffee and then half a glass of orange juice before food. Set in my ways I suppose but never been bad for years! Probably said it now and catch a bug or something tomorrow

The old fella (me da) spent year's doing it...and money. Got bin bags and bin bags full of paperwork of his research which he left us sons. It's like a huge jigsaw puzzle to be honest. Certainly kept him busy..was always up and down the country visiting different churches/registrary ?? offices and taking photos of headstones if ever he got a lead. Remember him saying he had to pay a specialist, once you get so far back just to read/understand the letters and words back then. Certainly kept him busy..really wish I'd shared his interest while he was still with us.

At last!..off work now for 14 days.. get in there!! In fact....FECKING GET IN THERE!!!!!??. Got a 6 lb 15oz river Wear chub pb to try and beat and some woody's to keep me busy while off. Fighting the urge for a week abroad too! So long as I'm out of these four walls..? .177 si..not tried them yet, bit shy to be honest after the state of the jsb exacts i bought 4.52 and 4.53's. AA fields weren't bad but the express bettered them..11.50 ft/lbs and 5p groups at 55 yards. Heard good things about the heavies but been bitten on the arse with jsb quality! Will pm you my addy si and give them a go.

Only been managing a Sunday morning lately..getting the odd rabbit, pigeon and squizza. Break up tomorrow for a fortnight of Christmas joys (shooting/ fishing galore all going well) ?. Pigeons have come from nowhere..from seeing maybe a dozen to a flock of about 10-15 dozen! Sitty trees are few and far between lads, all hedges intersecting 4 large oilseed rape fields. Tree below is smack in the middle of all four. Trouble is one shot and that's them away to other end of field ? Be nice to do some afternoon session's for a change while l'm off and see where they're settling..
