  1. Maybe you've only seen fat.lazy and ignorant machine drivers Mary. Can tar every machine driver the same.its like saying every black dog is the same. Its a shame you've got that attitude fella. Yes, unfair to label all the same, my apologies to those who are not fat, lazy or ignorant, but the majority I've met or known fit that discription.
  2. Thread gone shite, you can hear this rubbish being talked in pups most weekends by machine drivers , big machines and big egos, full of shite the lot of yea,s. Also I've always found michine drivers to be fat, lazy and ignorant.
  3. Good watch, did she give rabbit a little toss at 57 seconds in, watch it a few times, can't be sure?
  4. Britain is ruled by Europe, same as us Irish, Europe is ruled by America and they are ruled by Israel. Millions of Irish today celebrating 100 years of independence but little do they know, the rising leaders are turning in there graves, we sold our souls like the rest. As above, sorry for ruining tread, just needed to get this rant out.
  5. I have no time for grasses or rats either, I have seen first hand the grief they can cause, and I believe they should be dealt with accordingly, it's too late when they are gone.
  6. You want a pup and so does a few mates, doesn't leave much for owner of bitch and his mates.
  7. Cowards act to blacken someone's name when they are dead, did you ever try to contact or confront said man about your displeasure or disgust with his alleged actions? Seemingly he was on several different forums so there would of been ample opportunity to to voice your opinions, but you wait for his passing to ridicule him. Gives an insight into your own character stedz.
  8. Came across this name several time whilst looking back through the terrier section, either had game dogs or had an interest in them, I'll have another look back. Rip
  9. this add makes me feel warm and fuzzy, some loo laa's out there. Be careful folks.
  10. Really?.why not? Anything is a possibility. Some lurchers are tunnel vision and chase anything thats in the beam. If that terrier crosses the beam its a possibility that a lurcher could try and pick it up. Not worth trying it out. What if there is a sheep or cow or horse that is "in the beam", lurchers just chasing anything should be left at home maybe.
  11. You have lads posting to defend old timers and then the likes of this makes them look wild and barbaric, everybody agrees that without them we would not be where we are(which is a better place), but some of there actions would not be tolerated in today's game, hard lived men with hard and sometimes cruel attitudes, jmo.
  12. Hello rippem, welcome, I laughed when I read that your wife goes digging with you, my Mrs wouldn't dare risk chipping a nail or getting her ugg boots dirty, we have a very different idea of fun. How many lads on here bring their Mrs off for a romantic dig on a Sunday morning?
  13. How old is the bitch? How long have you had her?
  14. As someone said they are your terriers to do what you want with.BUT, ask yourself this......if your breed of that young dog and next Winter when you have 6 or 7 month old pups of him and he is no good, what do you do ? Would the same scenario not apply to a 5 or 6 year old dog? Maybe you're right Mary, we should wait 'till they're dead before breeding from them !!!!!!! Now now Neil, calm down with them exclamation marks, you'll hurt your finger. You asked about the pups on the ground the following winter when the stud has jacked, regardless of age the sire will always be know as a jacker,

  16. What are you looking for exactly? What type have you got?
  17. Attitude towards dog and quarry have greatly improved over the years, some of these so called "old timers" from the 60's 70's were hard and sometimes cruel men, animal welfare was not priority, any animal, doubling up was not frowned upon, they were only curs sure, easily replaced, results mattered. Terriers and men and quarry are definitely in better shape today.
  18. Be honest lol, biggest liars in the world are terrier owners.
  19. Good that you are concerned enough to get him checked over but cuts and scrapes should be easy enough to sort out yourself, also season is over, most have hit Cubs or bitches ready to drop, time to wrap it up and dust off the fishing rod, paddys day not far off.
  20. What is the law on feral cats, are they protected, are they classed as pests? Can they be controlled by hunters?
  21. Depends on Lurcher type, a whippet taking down a big red stag would be a fair test, a bull hound 1st cross trying to out smart a rabbit would be another big test, Ffs, what's all the testing about, deer dogs should take deer, rabbit dogs rabbits and so on, there are dogs bred/designed for chosen quarry and said dog should be able to perform and work accordingly, get the dog you need for the job and the only test is for you to put work in front of it.
  22. You are working the dogs at the wrong time of year, wait til the summer, all you'll need then is some sudo cream for their blisters.
  23. There was always stories told to us as kids of lone lampers encountering ghosts, animal ghosts, banshee, lampers being trapped in a field til daylight came because of fairy rings or paths, dogs refusing to run or chase in certain fields, all hair raising stuff for kids. I go alone btw, seeing is believing and I've never seen.
