  1. They look the same as H&N Sniper Medium, 8.5gr £10 for 500. First tests in my garden which is only 15mt seem to offer good accuracy, the proof of the pudding will be on the range at 30-40mt. I have not tried the Sniper Heavy as yet. Phil
  2. The advert in this months magazine says available now, must admit I do like very much like the look of these and unlike their other semi bullpups, these have about 100 shots per charge. Phil
  3. Sorry guys, I should explain. I got some info from another forum which I have passed on to Mac and David, the only reason for not posting on open forum was that the writer who did it for another forum may take offence with his work being posted on here along with copyright being used without permission. That is the only reason and I have witnessed a similar situation on a completely different hobby forum which turned nasty. No secrets I promise. I will pm anyone who is thinking of doing what Mac and I are pondering about. Phil
  4. There you go, 12 or do they have to be stood up Daft thing but what do you expect from a new un Phil
  5. I have just got some H&N Sniper Medium in .177 and although I have only tried them in the garden as the range is closed for a refurb, they look to do well. The shape is quite different to most other pellets with a small/lower skirt which might help, perhaps worth a go. http://www.uttings.co.uk/p120887-handn-sniper-medium-pellets-177-x-500-hnsnl177/#.VlRWY3bhAdU Phil
  6. Sent you a PM Mac with a bit of info I found. Phil
  7. There were a few bought with the intention of having the upgrades that were advertised but were not forth coming. I may be wrong about this so don't hold me to it but I think there was some talk that the company were no longer trading and someone else had taken over the stock so it may be worth doing some research before you buy. Phil
  8. Forget guys, I was only messing around, sorry if I offend delicate ears and I am fully aware there is a fishing section, christ I wish I hadn't bothered. Phil
  9. Listen you tossers, I will rephrase it then for you, the Humber where I do my sea fishing does not freeze certainly not in my lifetime, it is the 7' waves hitting the sea wall that stops you fishing........................................are we clear Us' new un's'...........................feck me I bet I was shooting before some of you were even born maybe not Mac Phil
  10. Thanks chaps, I don't want a rim fire to be honest, it is something that no longer interests me but a .22 or .25 FAC air rifle certainly interests me. Phil
  11. The sea doesn't freeze dear boy and I will be piking next week
  12. Better not tell you where the land is that I am waiting to hear from then and a good job it is a long drive so think I might be safe Phil
  13. I have cancelled going to clay competition this morning and now my sea fishing session as the tide is breaking the sea wall with 6' breakers and to top it off it is now 2degrees and SNOWING...........................Oh joy. At least this weather might bring the pike on good style for a mid week session, so glad to be retired, I can fit things in, don't know how I had time to work before................where are thermal wellies. Phil
  14. Well done David, I am so looking forward to my first perm. Phil
  15. The wind here is so bad that allowance for wind would be impossible at the moment, the gusts are really strong. There is a possibility of bloody snow here according the the forecast last night but hopefully they have it wrong. Good luck if you go out Mac Phil
  16. To be honest Rez, I am hoping to get a perm with a quarry on the land which is now grassed over and has a large rabbit population and I thought it could be quite handy for that but as much as anything if I got a Brocock Compatto or a Wildcat, both can turn down the power so it could be a cracking ratter. I do want a .22 or .25 for ratting and thought this might cover both areas of interest and I guess it would be nice to simply have it available to me. I am going to have another gun so an FAC will give me that option. Phil
  17. You guys put a smile on my face that's for sure. Supposed to be shooting Olympic Trap this morning but not in this wind/ gale and then sea fishing late this afternoon hmmmmm maybe but I think it's a case of reading the magazines and watch a film instead Phil
  18. Just thinking about the possibility of having a .25 FAC and would like to know from you boys with FAC air rifles just how tricky is it to get a ticket. I have a cabinet that my shotguns are in although not sure if that is the same spec for FAC. Your thoughts please Phil
  19. I have had shotguns for over 50 years and now back to air rifles, hobby, obsession, profession.......................................none, it is a way of life !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Phil
  20. ooooohh, you do have a way with words Mac. Phil
  21. Hmmmm, at that price it might be worth getting one for when we are having a bit of family plinking in the garden as well as a back up gun. I have heard it said that they are quite accurate so could be worth a punt. I think I am in Sheffield next week, a coffee at John's place me thinks. Phil
  22. Nice shooting Mac but it is a shame your gun stock hasn't got a nice big thumbhole in it Phil
  23. The shot count is still 42 had the reg and a tune from XTX AIR I am going to get a bigger cylinder and a shroud from ratworks in the next week I will be really interested in your results. I have spoken to Phil Crampton at Ratworks, what a nice guy, I plan to get an Ultra .22 for ratting and it will go to Phil for the work or I will get one from him. Phil
  24. Nice shooting. What sort of shot count do you now get from the tuned Ultra and what else did you have done apart from the reg. Phil
