I have a confession to make so you can all have a laugh at my expense. I went to the dairy farm this evening which, believe it or not was the first time I have shot the pigeon and crows with a sub 12 as for years I have used one of my fac guns at this venue resulting in me not even thinking about range finding the distance of birds, it has simply been in the cross hairs. Well feck me, this was not so easy, I have always shot pigeon in either breast shot or behind the neck but perhaps I will have to refine my aim points somewhat as well as checking my rangefinder rather more often. No you do not, simply put 'N/A' in the ammo section because the pellet contains no powder. Phil

For a number of years, my shooting partner and myself have had an amazing rat perm where we used to take approx 1100 rats per year and they just kept coming back year after year. Well all good things come to an end and this rather scruffy dairy farm that had all the cow feeders on the ground, cleaned up their act and replaced all the feeders to off ground feeders and almost overnight the rats had gone...................what a sickner, I loved those cold winter nights shooting rats and only 5mins from home. With no rats we turned our attention exclusively to feral pigeons, woodies and corv

My buddy had one and I was thinking of buying one for a particular job so I borrowed his for about a month. The gun was fitted with an Airmax Compact WA s/f scope (as all our guns are) although I don't think it came with a mod and he popped on a spare HW mod which did the trick very well. It may sound a bit odd but I really don't remember what cal however I think it was a .22. Shooting the gun around a farm where we shot many feral pigeon along with some wood pigeon and crows all around the barn roofs and it did a bloody good job, short making it very quick to get on target although heavy

I don't have one but I know a chap in my rfd was having issues as well but he was using a Sparten bipod, I gave him a bit of rubber I had in the car which seemed to do the trick but no idea about the sling. Phil

I am surprised your FX doesn't like them as I have seen a few of the FX team in the US use them at fac levels with really good results.

Actually you may not need self adhesive as it may well just hold in place under pressure of the neoprene but they do have self adhesive neoprene pieces on ebay. Phil

I am thinking of having a go at bench rest target shooting but I don't want to mess with my CZ452 as it is spot on for my hunting. I am thinking at this stage as I have never shot 50mt bench rest target shooting before so not wanting to throw a load of cash that I don't have on an expensive target rifle so I am looking for any guidence from any of you regarding what target rifle may be suited to my needs. Phil

Self adhesive sponge / rubber be suitable as you can buy sponge/rubber on ebay in all sorts of sizes and thicknesses. My harris is also needing padding as my CZ452 is much slimer than my old Tika so I will be doing the same myself. Phil

You just be very careful Jimmy and at all in doubt, take the bugger off ................................................................ then send it to me Joking apart, be careful mate.

I do not think there is a difference between the Mk1 / 2 in terms of the butt piece jimmy.

Hmmmm not a cheap addition Jimmy but as it doesn't fit you at present, perhaps that needs to go on the wish list. It may be worth looking on BBS and Airgun forums matey, you never know someone might have one or send Mitch a note to see if he knows of anything.
