    The only thing id change is the way I went about it with my colliehound bullhound I trained her solely for lamping and never really let her hunt for herself daytime only ferreting. Now she's playing catch up with my older bitch .

    Look at some of the old pictures on here lurchers have changed over time and gone away from the old type lurcher what will lurcher look like in future or will lurcher work die out as population grows and pushes in the countryside and more people have the wrong idea of a lurcher and what that can do this isn't to start an argument and I hope to feck I'm wrong.

    New kennels and runs to be built and thinking of breeding a litter of first cross collie greys the kennel and runs are the only thing set in stone at the min and just let the dogs recharge bit of fishing and camping with the kids and wish it was September again.

    My grandad got me and my uncle who's younger than me into hunting the grandad started us of fishing then shooting and lurchers he got me a whippet at 12 I've spent around 30k shooting but always had either a whippet or lurcher around for the last ten years or so it been lurcher alway the way its the excitement of working lurchers that draws you back everytime it never the same twice and I wouldn't have it any other way now my uncle went the other way and stuck with shooting he don't see the attraction in walking fields when darkness falls .

    I think it'll be a last options going to Hancock if I what I could breed of my brother 3/4 collie but he hasn't done a lot of work and could put him over my 3/4 whippet hound and at leat Id know the bitch has worked.

    I have been looking for a while now when u keep yourself to yourself and do 90% on your own to avoid c**Ts it get hard to find what your looking for I been talking to one lad thats in two minds if to breed or not because he can't anything suitable to go over his bitch of the same breeding and like you said nearly everybody selling pup will tell u what your wanting to hear on till you've handed over your cash then it has a dash of something else in it its hard to find genuine people with lurchers around me maybe Hancock is the way to go who knows what will happen.

    I see hancock breeding a litter of 3/4 collies only one this year he reckons. how much does Hancock charge for a pup.300. Less for blacks though. I don't mind paying it, atleast I know exactly what I'm getting and what each sire throws. Plus all bitches you can track back to where and what they are out of, two bitches Iv looked into have been from cracking line of greyhounds. Just gotta wait for the pup to be born now. so all in one of his pups would cost me about 500 euros feck that their must be someone in Ireland going to breed collie lurchers but 3/4 collie is what I'm think or there
