    Should the terrier not be with his quarry till the end its a simple one for me his 90% the way but not the full working terrier. Sounds like something mentally wrong which is always he hardest too fix hope you sort it. .

    In life if johnny comes home upset or beaten up cause someone started on him usually one of johnny's stronger siblings goes and sorts it out and it usually wont occur again. Sometimes this happens on a globel scale one country acts the prick a bigger country trys to sort it. I know what I would be doing "comply or dxe".

    Have to agree with Neil on this one. I think a hunting dog well especially a terrier if it bred for ground work should (NOT) be kept as a family pet if so to many people will start catching on to this and im afraid it will be a kc bred dog not to long in the future. It will ruin the patterdale eventually. Their bred for work and it must be kept that way anything else is just a negative to the breed over time. No No and NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :nono:

    Ok neil ill give ya the benefit of the doubt the bitch went in it took alot of chipping away then I got to her and pulled her up same as any dig. Just took longer as I was a very silly chap for letting her in such a place but like i said before i was immature roots rock gravel depth on my own but didnt care at the time loved everybit of it. She was the forbidden word on this site but came round after time didnt dig her to often but form time to time. Now give me the benefit of the doubt. Now ya ll sleep better.

    People have their own views on wheatons and now their very few and far between but I had a wheaton bitch that my grandfather gave to me as a pup . She was as small as a big pat these days, I remember digging some big earths with her she did 16 hours one time and almost the same as that a year after I was immature with the earth I brought her to but she never failed not even as much as a budge when she had settled that was were she was staying I wish I had her now but then would their be a good dog to cover her , and would they come small enough i doubt it. My memory of the wheaton that I had

    Plenty of second an third and so on children have been far better physically than the first so that goes out the door. My opinion on would I breed a sire a second time I sure would no bother at all if the first litter worked, even with no proof it will work or not. I would not go on someone who told me so. But we are all entitled to our own opinions. And I believe It should be trail and error on your own account and on your own terriers as your litter may prove better a second time using the parent , but may not be the same case in a different yard, different blood different result.

And again its a topic that can never be proven the only FACT on this is it will work for some and not others so where we going on this.

    Still no proven fact on which ever side the fence your on about this one interesting thread.Im sure a very high standard can be got using the same sire, but either way if its the same sire or not that is used a second time is it not a gamble anyway. Just down to what you think is best thats all a man can do.

    Where is the fault in an undershot mouth, apart from been as ugly as shit, If i bred from an undershot dog and knew the pups would work i wouldnt give a fxxk and sure as hell would nt call that a fault. A working terrier is a working terrier at the end of he day however he/she appears. I would'nt care if it had 3 heads 18 legs and 4 willies. And past it on to all their future blood once they worked well. WHERE IS THE FAULT ????????????? Undershot /over they ll loose them anyway.
