  1. That formula is for inbreeding not repeat matings ... No wonder Irish dogs are crap lol ....... Socks O what a silly little shit you are TallyHo.
  2. Its still 50/50 that's the only fact on this matter as know one can prove anyone else wrong its simply up to yourself. Trail and error.
  3. Their is no right or wrong answer, I suppose some have bred same sire to same bitch and had great results and some not so good it more like 50/50. Unless some one can give facts on this it has to be 50/50 chance.
  4. If its worked the first time why brake whats not broken.
  5. Name him hulk it would suit him. Strong fella
  6. I wouldn't have anything other than hard dogs , for me i think hard dogs put way more work into it. All us terriermen are entitled to work what we think suits us. I am not saying my option is better than the next guy its just the terrier for me.
  7. His nice hope he gives you plenty of digging.
  8. Exactly. Totally agree rob that's spot on. Its that extra bit of kamakazi type minded terrier that I admire. Not all agree but we all have our own opinions.
  9. Mixer and hardone's work differenly its two different types, imo in general a hardone wouldnt do 4'5 a day well i wouldnt expect that from them and I woundnt put that down to been not a good terrier . But if were talking bout mixers id expect a couple of digs a day for sure if the digging was there. Buy the meaning of mixer bay and hold randomly. Hardones can make hardwork of it so to speak but its all about what you prefer I like to know my terrier is tight on his quarry and always has contact but each to their own
  10. Would be interesting if you had the blacks to compare to the black and tan , not me been boy est but i bet if you introduced the blacks their so versatile , any game to them is a goal. And would be an eye opener for hunting in all aspects of terrier work. My strong opinion on blacks.
  11. It is a bit graphic but if its allowed in your country so be it . Im sure you did nt mean to offend anyone, this site has one or two guys stalking it so they can jump on people so their heads get bigger by the day. Using protection of terrierwork as their backup when really all their daily live's involves is seeing how they get browny points.
  12. Fox defo protecting something badger felt little he kept directing the thickest part of his body to the foxes mouth, the back of his neck. Cool clip.
  13. Im sure he is a digging man and I see he does get undersome people skin here as a Mr no it all including mine, He seems to have a knack of it, but this does nt feel right picking on a man it feels a bit like school girl stuff. So I dont think this is going to be a nice thread. Terriermen we are not a bucnh of pussy's at the end of the day.
  14. Let the newcomers be newcomers and the tested be rested, As long as their clay to be lifted terriermen will shift it .
  15. The other fecker who wouldnt know the difference between a shovel and a goat , but knows all about how to dig.
  16. Panic can lead unnecessary mistakes and its unwanted stress at a dig, level headed men is all that should be digging over terriers and the bit a craic within reason, not headless chickens. Go on the irish bring on the quaters and the semi's and the final we wont argue bout that one.
  17. I cant really spell that well, see I spent more my time in the field as a young chap instead off school , on a serious note can we all just love eachother and stop this bitching and all be friends
  18. It was my first ever dig , it was a frosty morning in early april and I went to feed the hens noticed feathers everwhere and sprinted back into the house like a march hare. Shouting very loudly and full of anger Da... A fxxking fox killed are hens we went out and followed a line of feathers bout 250yards behind are house, and thier was one black hen after foxy killed 6 . Anyway the russell followed us up and went to ground I was amused and taking in by this instantly. So my father sent me down for a spade an shovel which I did Not a bother says I, Only to happy to get of school but I was actua
  19. Its a divide some like the yappers others like the opposite no one is right or wrong enjoy ur digging its as simple as that. Know man no matter what age shape or size you are can tell their option is a better choice. Thats what i call childish. Its crazy how far people have their head up their own hole a 4x4 and chain couldnt pull it out. Absolutly crazy makes me .
  20. Mind that word you stated their that if a pup is steady does it turn out hxxrdxr. Its a big no no on here apparently. Sorry shovel for the sarcasm. I like them to be full of confidence and energy. Thats my ideal pup.
  21. The last thing i want to do is damage terrierwork honestly, well I love the sport just as much as any man, I tought this was a forum to discuss earthdogs and terrierwork both terrier types come into that discussion i tought hard and sounder yappers mixers or whatever. But if discussing only a specific type of worker is accepted and talking bout the other is classed as wrong doing or been a wannabee, this site aint for me happy diggin. Or the diiggin word probably should not be mentioned either.
  22. Its good to have people to put uneducated guys like me straight for the good of the sport, but to me its terriermen language well to the people I talk to. (The media will bloody twist it anyway no matter what the case) jmho, but this stereotype attitude that you place on people that in your words,we dont care for the sport is madness where you getting this fact from ,a little bird told you so ...... you are right and very up to date with rules a regulations of the sport which should be known by all but you are also one obnoxious man from reading some of your post on threads here very one mi
