Mistakes are there to be made its unfortunate but if she was a bitch that you could work for a couple more years it's going to be a bitter pill to swallow in time to come. But just move on that's all can be done.

Sure do but they are needed at times and a good vet that you can trust is hard to come by

Maybe sometimes vets advise aint the best outcome I had a bitch at a vet 10 years ago maybe a little more and I was told she had a severe murmur that under no circumstance should she ever have pups that she will die. I got a sec opinion and mi gut instinct was right she was fine. I genuinly tought she didn't want to be treating working terriers in her clinic.

This is paradise compared to mine don't get me wrong mine are fed watered and have a warm bed with no drafts but not to this standard bet they would love this.

On another occassion we had come across a set of cubs decided to block in the hole with stone rocks best way we could we left my jacket their on a stick with cap on it to have a scarecrow type effect. So we set home for a terrier and tools took an hour to get back and we discovered clay beside the rocks was throw back towards the field and vixen had got in and cubs taken away still got her that eve a couple a fields away in a box shore that had been opened a few times.

Fox rules or habbits seem to be not set in stone sorry for all the post but I'm just thinking back I remember digging two sets of cubs in the one field and both sets of cubs where definatly of different age ..huh what do ye think of that. I would not belive that myself if it didn't happen to me . Anyone come across that one

Cool I work for a horse trainer, I'll keep and eye out for them. It's the race horse bedding I use for the dogs. Clean stuff

Foxes are cheeky caught one also in the chicken coop with is only 30yards away from the kennels . I kicked the shit out of him lol .

I remember digging cubs as a teenager and while doing so the vixen was defo witin a hundred yards moving from right to left. I freaked a little bit kept digging it was a old stone wall type ditch very annoying and was there for quite a while she never came to close thank god. I tought she was going to attack me. I also remember not to long ago shooting a vixen the field out the back my garden and one buy one droped 4 cubs within 30 mins in the same field this was late june cubs where very hardy.

True and thanks for the replies but I am up to date with ticks on how they are got and what to use, it was really just that she is in the very late stage of pregnancy and wanted to know was their a safe spray or rub to use to get rid of them on a preg bitch without harming pups cause when I went to my usual place where I get worming tabs and bits I was told not to use anything on the bitch as nothing is 100% safe , then I looked for worming tablets for the bitch I had always thought i could worm the bitch 2 weeks before due date and it would be safe I was told that was a bad idea to.????????

Your wright I have moved her to a different kennel. I asked for views and appreciate it but their is still chance in her getting them but I hope not none of the other have em and they have not returned so far only conclusion i have is i changed her bed to fine type wood shavings that may have been the prob but i do use this stuuff in the cold months and never had prob but with tick season upon us maybe their is a link their.I sure as he'll am not bringing her into the house lol
