  1. Just a Lake District mature cheddar mate. Don't want to break into the cheese I've started to buy for Christmas. Got a round of cheese from Sharpham garlic and chives I love that one that very local to me. Cheers Arry
  2. Sat by the Wood burner have a whisky and a small ploughman's. Testing this years pickle and pickled onions and scrounging almost the last tomato's that I rescued before the frosts that have been ripening on the window sill. Cheers Arry

  4. I got gifted some Lodi Sapphire Rat paste with brodifacoum 0.004% which I found very good. Thought I would try and buy some myself but all I seem to able to buy is same name but lower strength at Brodifacoum 0.0025% nearly half strength. Have you got to have some kind of licence to buy full strength and can you buy in small amounts? Cheers Arry

  7. As you guys know I go metal detecting and often get plagued by old cardboard shotgun cartridge caps. Well the other day dug this one up and just slung in in my finds bag. After getting home tipped the crap out to have a look and realised this cap had a pin out the side and no centre percussion cap. I'd not seen one before so looked it up seems to come from about 1850 or there abouts. Can just make out LONDON and maybe Eley, Don't know if its of interest to any body collectors etc. if anybody wants it they are welcome if not its in the scrap bucket. Found this picture

  15. Worked with a few Irish Lads proper old fashion types but could not stand eating in the same canteen as them. Pile of Tea bags in the corner nearly three feet high a table full of milk bottles not empty of all colours from white - green and black. Put a new bottle on the table every day and one would fall off the other side. No socks just boots in the pub at five and not out till eleven. They could work though hand digging service trenches to the house. One day they carried on passed the house and into the back garden. Cheers Arry

  22. Been doing it about two and a half years so still learning started with Vanquish 540 and to be fare it don't miss much. I then got the chance to buy a Equinox 800 that was nearly new at a very good price thanks to Daren of here. Then you do get better at recognising the tones and setting. Nice getting out in the fields haven't done much on beaches. Cheers Arry
