Can anyone identify this fungus?
Arry replied to Lost Generation's topic in Wildlife and General Photography
Sorry mate cant really tell from the photos. But I would not be picking them myself. I don't think they are all the same variety. If I'm not sure what they are I just leave. Have a look at this Web site but there are many many more fungi. Wild UK Mushrooms (Fungi): Guide to Identification & Picking WWW.WILDFOODUK.COM Edible and poisonous wild mushroom identification guide. When to pick, what to look for. Photos, video, safety tips for each mushroom. Cheers Arry -

Phil I know jack shit about Fly fishing but would have fancied a go at one time. But I have had some good Mullet over times gone by over 6lb and some of my mates have had them bigger. In the brackish waters several miles in land the main bait is bread flake and I have heard them come on maggot. In salt water a mile from the mouth of a river or an estuary ( Salcombe being brilliant for mullet) then top bait imo is a fillet of Sprat. Stitched in and out up the line then pushed down onto the hook to form sort of a ball. We would free line that just behind the weed line on a rising tide cracking

In that picture I had to start at a certain place and shoot uphill and I was lazy really I hate flipping the poles over. I also like to be farther off the hedge but was trying to stretch the net as far as I could to cover the last hole. Didn't matter in the end the two I had were in them run nets behind the posts, I do like run nets. Cheers Arry

Wasn't bad when I was young walking in the pub bought a pint of Tankard got the fags out and flashed then about. Gave up for seven years then for some reason started again. Sea fishing was worse cast out cup of tea and a fag then check the bait the cup of tea and a fag, the same all night. Gave up over twenty years ago now best thing I ever did. Wifey carried on until last year and I would buy a pouch of baccy for her ffs the bloody price was ridicules. Lost to many to tobacco my Father who at 60 couldn't walk up a short hill because of it, Bother-in-law last year cancer and severe mate
