I may be way off here but a lot of Chicken has water add to it, some where near 20% I think. Now I may also be wrong but they use a chemical injected first which helps the chicken retain the water. Maybe just maybe the dog is reacting to the chemical rather than the Chicken. Just a thought. Cheers Arry

The problem is IMO people can't let go of the past, it was nearly 1000 years ago ffs, conflicts happened back then and you can't put that right now. Peace with never be maintained it the past is continually dragged up. It happened we can't change it nobody is going back and the sooner the people of NI recognise and start building bridges the better. There are hard and soft borders all over the world which people pass through with out starting to kick off about it. A few exceptions ie Israel and Palestine and once again the sooner the Palestines wake up to the fact the the Israelis are not goin

Nice plate of food GL mate, but if thats them kidneys you can keep that bit. Must say that bacon looks nice, can't beat good bacon. Bought some no nitrate the other day was okay, bit salty and it lacked colour, jury still out on that one. Have you tried putting a little black pudding in the mix for scotch eggs?

Troll through this lot. DNA was found in North Devon, said to be from a Leopard. Nearly 1000 sights on there, okay going to be a lot of dross but some have got to be legit. I know quite a few guys that have seen them, good country men at that, and not one of them put in a report in, I suppose fear of ridicule. So the amount of sighting must be way higher. Out on Dartmoor years ago shooting Foxes and was told by the land owner "on no account shoot the Ocelot", We never saw it despite drawing every cover with ten terriers but it didn't mean it wasn't there. https://en.wikipedia.org/wi

Light rock fishing /salt water spinning
Arry replied to forest of dean redneck's topic in Fresh & Salt Water Fishing
Yea recon that would be okay 3lb test curve, the carp rod I was using last year was a 2.75lb test curve Warrior was a little heavy at first but after a while never noticed. Get a reel to match it not to cheap that has a good drag clutch, I use 12lb line as I said good quality. Cheers Arry -

Might be a bit heavy as I was unfamiliar with that rod I looked it up, think its 80g to160g 2.8oz to 5.6oz, you would only need to be casting 10g to 60g. This would make it more like a light beach caster but you could try it see how you get on. I use a Spod rod to do a bit of feathering for Mackerel as I didn't have a fixed spool beach caster works fine. If you down Newton Abbott way have a look in Trago Mills or Go Outdoors they both do some cheap set ups. Cheers Arry -

There's some good spinning up around Charmouth and Lyme Regis. Plugging for Bass with surface poppers. Or spinners and lures off Chesil beach probably first light or evening as the sun goes down till dark. Personally I would use a long spinning rod 11' or 12' if you can, last year I used one of my carp rods as I smashed some eyes on my spinning rod. 28 gram Toby spinner is a good all-round will catch Bass, Mackerel and Pollack. A angling shop should be able to help with a matching a reel to a rod, what I would say is use a good quality line as cheap ones tend to tangle. Hope this is of -
Seen Two last Tuesday while fishing mate so they may turn up soon. Only said I hadn't seen a Swallow yet about a hour before. The winds only just gone around to the South and East that will help them I think they wait for that. Cheers Arry

Great shame, what that poor lad must have gone through. As for her doing a runner after her dog had killed a child, words fail me. My heart goes out to the parents losing a young lad and christ I know, they will never get over it. RIP young one. Arry

So, Tell Us, What Are Ye All At In The Veg Garden?
Arry replied to JohnGalway's topic in Living Off The Land & Game Cooking
Not much left to feed on, some Purple Sprouting and my last Leek, that Hungry Gap Kale is still going but scruffy because I just scattered it and racked it in. It tastes really good and buttery and you can grow it just about any time you have a space, got 100grams of seed for about £3 for a farmer outlet. Cheers Arry -

Don't know if is of any interest but I use Bog roles and an Mushroom contained for bringing on Runner Bean seed on, you get great root structure. Shall grow half a row of new seed plants and half a row from last years tubers still in the ground. Both "White Lady" did very well last year. Tomato's doing well topped the pots up this week and put my strings up. Two Cucumber for this year "Passandra F1 and Mini Munch F1" both small 4" to 6" long fruits. Cheers Arry
