I started with the Minelab Vanquish 540 and found loads of stuff including hammered. I know others that like the Garett 250 but I cant speak for that one myself. I have now got the Minelab Equinox 800 which Darren off the forum managed to pick me up a hardly used one second hand at a very good price. Many thanks to him for that. The Equinox 800 commonly know as the Nox is a good machine that a lot of people seem to end up with and I probably will stay with it to be honest. The 540 is very easy to use and if conditions are right just switch on and go, I like the ground damp will pick up s

Out on a ripped up rape field today not easy as ground so uneven. Nearly gave up seem barren then in a corner hit on a Elizebeth 1st 1561 hammered. Then this coin which I don't know what it is almost looks Russian. I have rubbed a pencil over it to high light details. Any ideas guys??? Double headed eagle. Then picked up couple of flints. One on the left I think is a small scraper the other I think is a leaf shaped arrow head with the tip missing. Cheers Arry

Don't plant it near any drains mate the roots will find their way in and block the drains. Behind the beaches on many fishing villages you will find old willow groves that they used to make Crab pots. Beesands and Hallsands near me they can be seen. Cheers Arry

I found arch support insoles made a big difference when I had Plantar F two years ago. Wifey also bought me a pair of arch support slippers as I found walking around the house bare foot aggravated the PF. They really eased it. Cheers Arry

Try right in close in the evenings or first light. I used to troll a Red Gill no weight along Paignton with and old clinker boat that had a one and a half Stuart turner engine in it. I would run parallel to the beach sometimes the prop would be leaving a line of sand I was that close in and I would find them other times out by the 5 knot buoys. Used to cream them sometimes lot of line out mind great fun. Cheers Arry

Out for a Foraging mooch. Did manage four different sorts. Found a axe in a little hazel grove nice bonus. Hedge Maple looking nice. Few Sloe's about. Watched this fella darting about then he caught something and started to eat it. Cheers Arry -
Morrisons had them Bass fillets on offer 6 for £10 I don't know if anybody is interested but easy way to cook them with out stinking the house out pan frying. Bake them in the oven. preheat a Fan oven 200 degrees, put a piece of baking parchment on a baking tray I spread a tiny bit of oil on it. Then put the Bass fillets flesh side down brush oil on the skin and bake for just 7 minutes, come out perfect every time. Cheers Arry

Was better to scrape match heads off matches put them in the hole of a wardrobe key fit a snug fitting nail into the hole on top of the match heads. Tie piece of string either in a loop from nail head to eye of the key and swing it against a wall. Or just a length of string to the eye of the key and throw in the air coming down nail first on the road. Blown a few keys apart Lol. Cheers Arry
