    Why youd put an agitation collar on a skinny old running dog is beyond me. Just asking for that handle to get snagged on sommat.

    Ancol nylon ones. Cost ya a tenner or there abouts snapped a few the ds on leather ones never on the nylon. Had allsorts others to be honest never rated these big heavey collars for sommat with running dog in myself.

    Used to be a bull x down my way killing numbers of hares. Anyone seen a good hare killer carrying bull?

    Ive had terriers catching rabbits at 6 months old while out n about. Behave yaself man its a rabbit not a red stag lol most my lurchers have a few rabbits but that time not ever walking them upto one on a slip just getting them about. Seen a couple have a roe by six month. Not everyone holds back until a year plus.

    got a dog out of a lamper x courser mating has killed very good hares in the day on good land so have some of its siblings seen a homebred coursing type with heart of a lion would go over on hes hare before pulling up but dont think these have the style of sommat with abit pf breeding behind it.

    My pals got one of the best bushing wise youll see hell of a bitch he give strong money for her only thing you wont do is dig with it. Can laon her if i like she retrieves like a gundog.

    Run places for a while ended up with permission and never went there again some people care about it more than others personally i think if you try and show abit of respect permission or not it goes a long way.

    Aye heard about this i think you done well to steer clear lol. One thing i will say see alot of vets doing the dock too long for my liking.

    Had same to 8 pups think it worked out at 40 odd quid a pup if i remember rightly. But then its worth paying bit more if its a sensible vet.

    I gave couple spaniels away when i bred a litter all were a picture of health docked very well socialised and sold a couple the two that paid money for theres seemed more grateful than those that was given theres. When ya see what folk will pay for a lilac frenchie a dapple dashund or one of those silly american bully things i dont think some the prices about for a lurcher or terrier are too bad.

    I will be first to say the lurcher breeding game is not for me. Rather leave that upto others but I understand what your saying. it can also be easy to overthink aswell rather than just take the gamble.been very lucky to have walked out with alot of different people past few seasons with some keen dogs and alot of it does just come down to luck dont it.

    Dont worry about me feller got a dog here i get asked to put to bitches a fair bit but im true to myself and know the dogs average but hes had alot put infront of him. Im allways looking to improve and go forward i seen the sort of thing im after and when youve seen the real good hearted dogs nothing else compares.

    Been after sommat myself for abit not seeing much at all i like the look of alot is talked up breeding out of pets. Some folks out there breeding out of stuff theyve not even got a clue how its bred but will tell you its this or that. Shame really as theres some good little honest dogs and bitches about that wont ever produce as owners are too busy either giving them stick or owners understand there just handy things and theres better about its just finding it thats the hard part.

    Like a central asian type ? Never heard of turkish mastiff myself but these big defensive type dogs seem popular at the minute.

    From watching the dog run regularly. But the inexperienced wouldnt be able to tell the difference anyway ??

    You can only judge a good hare deer or whatever by the dog running it. Shit dogs will make average hares look good.

    Cant say i watch many videos of dogs running hares. Can get boring enough seeing it in the flesh wintertime lol theres a little fawn bitch i know a few have seen a video of trying her hare when she can and some of the bits ive seen of that lucky dog he looked to try When he was fresh but as i say not mad on watching hare running footage.

    When you go out regularly and see alot of dogs run and you can actually see whats going on between dog and qaurry i seen alot of dogs especially those that carry loads of saluki they will wait for mistakes kill stuff couple fields from where they was slipped things like that. When youve seen the real good dogs make it look easy these dogs that overun and wait for mistakes just wont cut it for you.
