    Young cocker terrier bring a wounded mallard to hand first water retrieve for her. Got to the bank and wouldnt bring it on wich shes never done before normally very good bringing anything back to hand so have to work on that over summer.

    Hero worship and kennel blindness no good for no one feller. Answer me this if the minshaws were so good at the lamping rabbits and hares why do hardly any the lads still run a few including fuji hiself ?

    Having it off is not the trouble mate i could book it in tomorrow wasnt looking for way to have the tail off when i started the thread wanted to see what the recovery time was and what vets were charging as im in two minds whether to see if she setlled with age or be better getting it done now

    I dont grab a terriers tail on a dig anyway but this is a cocker x terrier. strange qestion i know but could you blatantly see it was done on an older dog rather than the smartness when its done as a pup ?

    Yeah not for me that. I dont think it works aswell as you think. Annoying it wasnt just done as a pup but getting the tail taken off by a vet isnt a problem. I could have it done tomorrow but id like to know if anyone else has had it done on an older dog whats the recovery time and how much was you charged ?

    Had two vets had a look at it feller because obviously its getting damaged. Dog aint a sort to keep still though so im wondering how long roughly it takes and what sort of price others paid.

    Had a few pups docked at vets with no problems but bought a dog in with a full tail and its driving me mad in all honesty and taking abit of stick. Anyone had an adults tail docked to half what was the recovery time and what did ya pay roughly ?

    Do you think they bite in the same way a shepherd akita or collie would bite a person though ? I believe they can get so frustrated they just randomly grab. And once its done its done

    ? you used to be on this forum under the name navek didnt you ? if your talking about these pockets xls and exorics bieng aggressive to folk i dont think you got much of a worry most i seen couldnt move out of site on a dark night. Dont they carry frenchie and boston terrier blood ffs.

    Was at a good friends the other day before this happened talking about similar. weve all had gaurd dogs lurchers terriers and that. My pals other half had a pet bull lurchrr bit her in the face. My other pal was done on his hand by a lurcher no warning same dog had also bit someone on the face. Had loads of instances with terriers. Dont get me wrong if one of my dpgs even half looked at a child funny they wouldnt have a chance to do it again but i know plemty lads have a retired worker in the house n what not. Any dog has the capability to inflict harm why take the risk.

    Shouldnt trust any dog not matter the breed or type. You wouldnt leave ya child in a stable with a horse why do the same with a dog.

    To be fair mate shes flying along caught rabbits been in on other things with the bigger dogs good retriever of fur. That rat she kept trying to bring back to me lol. Just starting to yap on rabbits. Tail will have to go though at some point lol

    Deffo dont need that whippet blood i dont think just a sharp coursing type maybe bit of something else in there for the field running.

    Wouldnt call it a secret hes obviously told you but you know i speak to him do you not reckon ive prob had the offer of one if i want it truthfully ? The man says he doesnt want to be rehoming surplus so no need to mention it on here really but could just be me.
