  1. Look at the vegetation either side of the fence, look for the signs, you don't always need to cut a fence, you can snare a mesh as it is using a smaller loop, or you can stretch the mesh and contort the fence angle and to your requirement... Signs include fur on strands, mud, worn/flattend areas in front and behind mesh, nail marks on branches, etc... An example here slightly enlarged mesh...
  2. If you fancy a look over just let me know, I'm always looking for someone to play with...................in the love shack of course.....Rohypnol is optional...
  3. Well checked them again yesterday, the farmer had been over when we were emptying them the previous day, so I think he was a bit keen to see what was in them, came to check them on the morning and some had been removed?? He'd been along and emptied some of them, putting them into the trees as you will see, kind of him, then made an attempt at resetting them...lost another few to badgers or foxes, gone completely.. Heres a few photos anyway.. I also managed to sort a farm I've been wanting to get on for awhile now, I snared one hedgerow right down, hands are still tingling off the nettles t
  4. No trap will ever be perfect, but the bodygrips are probably the most versatile trap we have, if channelled in central they will strike the animal across the chest,..unlike the fenns shoulder killing action... The bodygrips are light, compact come in various sizes, and have a massive following, for good reason.... To invent something better than the bodygrip, with quicker kill times your going to have some behemoth contraption going on....akin to a kania, nice, cheap and portable hey..
  5. it up to youself mate i like the old moleskin myself a swear buy them but up two you bud atb KEANO Moleskins are ok, there hard wearing and smart/causual, not waterproof though and they do tend to shrink..
  6. I use the ram trousers, good for the money... Although there really a winter trouser, you will sweat your balls off in them come a couple of weeks time... Good all the same, most deerhunter is excellent for the money compared to the more expensive ranges...
  7. Bin it and fenn trap them in the burrows...
  8. Can't remember nobby was playing with the peg snares, I let him be to play with them, there his fave , I enjoy the fence snaring more he likes the pegs... Had an odd few knocked snares, but everyone has and still gets knocked snares no matter who you are... its like wankers and liars...
  9. Not sure of cost around a £1 each PM woodga he makes quality snares, and by the way £1 is nothing considering the time involved to make the tealer, snare, peg, etc I couldn't be arsed to make and sell the things , for my own use yes, but for that little there not worth the effort to sell......Colins got rapid sausage fingers and turns them out ham sam, so its easier for him
  10. Hello paul I'm no expert by any means, but look for runs coming into the field, you need to set your snares 6"-7" or higher to the bottom of the noose curve directly over the rabbits beats, areas it flattens as it runs out to into the field... set higher in longer grass and foilage... For fence snaring some runs are obvious others are not so obvious, some are easy some are not..Ensure your noose is neither to big or too small, and allows enough clearance for a rabbits feet to pass under, if you do not allow this you will still snare them although round the hips or chest....When they pass thro
  11. Was out today checking a few snares myself and nobby placed on a couple of fields yesterday, lost a few to badgers, we only really done one side of a wood, I'll check them over the next couple of days to mop up and then move over to the other side of the wood...

  13. I only scream when I'm having a taser session with wilf...

The consensual act of using a taser on one's partner during intercourse to derive sexual pleasure through electrical conduction.

"Taser Sex" is a largely untested and legally unapproved maneuver only performed by sexual deviants and self-professed idiots.

  14. I'll give pete a shout tommorrow KO, I'll ask one of the keepers..
  15. End of the day, no one likes killing vixens with cubs (apart from foxhunter ) but if you have permission on the basis you have to control vermin, and a farmer is losing stock or they are causing other predation then, they must be controlled using any legal way possible, be it terriers, snares, guns... Part and parcel of it, its not sporting at all just pure control..

  19. Sorry to hear about the sad loss Dytkos, gone but not forgotten, time passes, people and places change but memories last forever... You got me thinking about my old dog Jack, brings a tear to my eye.. he knocked his knee chasing a rabbit and it formed into bone cancer, he wasn't a world beater or a 3/3 hare coursing dog, that didn't matter, he was a loyal companion and gave his all regardless if he received injury on the way, I had some good times with him and learn't a lot, theres not much on this planet thats as loyal as a dog, truly mans best friend, broke my heart getting him put to s

  21. Just home yesterday, few people were a bit skitty about the flights this last week, scotia and bristow are now covering for BP flights, Bond are not flying for BP for the foreseeable future... Could take awhile to find out the reason for the catastrophy ... http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Article.aspx/1158811/ http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Article.aspx/1157877/ Hopefully any findings will make it safer for everyone travelling in the future... Thoughts go out to the families who have been left devastated by this tragic event..

  23. I've had a few jap motors and I've settled on a defender for the last few year same engine as the discovery 2, i.e TD5 which is a really solid engine, reliable as hell, crap to travel in, nah its not that bad, does 95 with muds on, but you need ear muffs .. If I ended up wanting a change I'd probably go for a pickup, any model there all decent, not to keen on the new l200 shape though... or I'd probably get a discovery 3 if I wanted an allrounder..
  24. Stop being a knobber sheamus, do you have a problem with fellow hunting folk...? Or do you just like the aggro..
