Gives me goosebumps this bout, it simply is the Fight of the Century. Both men left everything in the ring, it almost killed Frazier who spent several weeks in hospital afterwards.
-
Great fight that vt was pissed
-
They didn't have your seats you must have been close to Statham n Jake Paul lol
-
You used to get that at football. An opposing player scores a worldie and everybody in the ground would clap. Sometimes, not often , a home team would be totally outclassed and home fans would give a standing ovation at the end of the game. Nothing wrong with getting beat as a boxer or a team and saying " fair enough, you won fair and square."
-
I think Frazier would have given him hell tbh, the smaller and faster HW's would have done better IMO.
-
Dubois had probably 70% of the support....Usyk was actually getting booed on his ring walk he had pockets of fans all around the stadium but by the end it was just genuine respect towards Usyk.....i said to my pal it reminded me of Rocky 5 was it when all the Russians end up cheering for Rocky instead of their man Drago I thought it was quite refreshing to be honest, knowledgeable crowds know when they've seen somebody special its the way it should be.
-
Funny enough I was just thinking the same. Lennox Lewis struggled big time against VT. Lewis would be in my top 5 of all time too. Stupid really, but I would love to have seen Usyk against Frazier and Ali.
-
A very underrated fighter and a stylistic nightmare for almost everyone.
-
I think vitali klitchko would've been a good test for usyk
-
It will be a gun your needing after all for that pot licker lol
-
I would agree with top 5. 100%. He's been an eye opener . It's not often you get a real technician at heavyweight. He just does everything right. Proper training camps. No trash talking. Conducts himself with dignity , unlike like that national embarrassment Fury. He's been a breath of fresh air.
-
Lol true but they had a game plan but even you said usyk had an ancewer for everything plus he had to go after him but go in to hard or fast n get caught with a counter couldn't keep him on the ropes usykes timing on point dammed if he does dammed if don't plus I don't think he expected the power early on he looked hurt in round 2.
-
Tbf that's true. But there were occasions when he simply lost it and became hysterical. For example when he had a meltdown and bit Holyfield's ear. Similarly when he bit Lewis before their fight. And don't forget he quit on his arse against a journeyman. He was a good fighter but not a real fighter. Real deals have a different mentality.

I don't fully agree as the moderates do, but yes, the zealots will never fit in. These extremists should not be able to use religion as an excuse for their behaviour.
-
at the end of the day it doesn't matter it's like oil and water mate and they just don't mix and never will

But, Tyson did actually go out on his shield in many of his bouts, he was beaten half to death by Douglas and still tried to beat the count. At some point though the fire to win went out, I mean he even took his licks like a man against Lewis when he was a shell of his former self, but, he gave up hope of winning after a few rounds.

Iv'e gone to answer this a few times and deleted what i have written every time, but it really has just showed me along with my street life how i have taken some very miss guided decisions in my life.. ....
-
Tony Bellew has said for years he mentally fatigues you, Dubois's brain is probably still hurting lol
-
You could see at the beginning when all the women encircled the hotel with there banners ect that it was genuinely concerned local residents who are worried about their kids safety, but there is as you say an element of youngsters wearing balaclavas goading the old bill itching for a bit of aggro it’s not the way to go about it, but it seems the arrests and trouble seems to be highlighted more and gains more attention putting the hotel in the headlines, it’s good to hear though that the people in that hotel are not walking about like they own the gaff.
-
Yes, but that's not down to race or genetics, it's down to a culture that is not willing to change.
-
Yeah thought the undercard was shit mate, but the atmosphere looked good for the main event, and as you say Usyk didn't disappoint... top 5 you say! Technically possibly the best, but I'm not sure on top 5... I'd of love to seen him in either the 70s or 90s eras just to see some of those matcg ups..
-
Glad you enjoyed I thought Dubois did ok and usyk had already hurt him in the second aswell as frustrating him throughout with how good he seemed to have an answer for everything you had a good seat then..
-
Touchy.
