  1. Past hour
  2. What’s a crime is that you had to do that abroad because otherwise you’d still have to work and be a lot worse off. Maybe I’m wrong, that’s a guess ?
  3. Mashed spud, cod loin, asparagus and a Dijon mustard sauce, I thought about a poached egg on top instead of the sauce but then thought that might be a step too far
  4. Yeah, all the name of bigger state ! Make up your mind, what do you want ? lol
  5. Nobody has written any fairy story’s: The church is the reason we can all read and write….true Nobody said the gentry were selfless…..what we have said is that they were practical, if you have better educated workers you have a better company. If you happen to be aristocracy and you have a strong nation that’s decent and wealthy and industrious then that is better for you and it’s also better for everyone else…..as our nation once proved…..it wasn’t perfect because nothing is, but look at what we have today ?…..f***ing hell like ! lol We have been in the grip of
  6. Can’t wrap them in cotton wool, shit happens to dogs folk an everythjng else haha
  7. I had a good job with an engineering company but when marriage and family came along, I took Norman Tebbits advice, ( it was his funeral today), and got on my bike and made the momentous decision to seek my fortune abroad. Twenty six years later I was in the position at 51 to retire and do what I wanted. Of course not everyone can do that, but as a lad from the city centre slums of Newcastle and one of the worst sink council estates, I don’t think it’s our of reach for most people that really want it . Cheers.
  8. It happened just outside the front door not on the land. Freak accidents happen, my old man's terrier broke it's leg the other year on a bench, it had hopped on the bench and when it went to jump down it's foot went down the gap in between the lats.
  9. After all the talk of immigrants I can see a fresh import on the horizon haha
  10. Why not? People need a hand up. Most don't want a hand out. A tiny rant I promise. I've just been thinking how easy it was to make money compared to now. A self employed forester in the early 70s could earn good money. Now it's barely minimum wage. I was a commercial fisherman and the money was shared 2 shares for the skipper (because it was his boat and gear) and a single share for the rest of us. Within 2 years I had a deposit on a smallholding. Now it's foreigners on less than minimum wage. I used to do shut downs. We would move into a company whilst they were shut for holidays
  11. Aubergines finally fruiting , Different varieties, Long Purple and Black Beauties. Both types of cucumbers have been prolific and still fruiting; Celariac growing well; Cheers.
  12. Remember when you were sat in here all day begging for help from strangers , quick to f***ing act all high and mighty now your true colours pop out
  13. I know of a guy who had £40k on deposit in the bank. He went into the bank 3 weeks ago and said he wanted it out in cash and it took them 10 days to process it and give him the money. Something not right about it
  14. Theres a time and a place to let them off though Scotty that's what I'm saying. Walking onto land that's like concrete say farm land that's ploughed or stubble that's not soft under the feet. Then your asking for trouble. Alot of farmers now no the crack. They don't leave stubble about. Soon as the crops are up it's turned over. Due to c**ts driving the land. But it's hard for MC he lives on the door step of the land. So going walking and letting the dogs roam acting up chasing each other letting of steam. In the real world. We would love to do that ground be soft all year round. But summer mo
  15. Another good vets well used to be Richmond's in Dewsbury. Chap who owned it at the time. Used to say bring them through back door. Many lurcher and terrier men used him. Was a great guy. I had a lurcher lamping ones that impaled herself from chest on this fallen tree where rabbit had gone under. Was a f***ing mess. Went in stitched her up. Said to me get yourself a stamper next time and put a little bit of tube in just to drain the rubbish from the wound. Lucky it was just a surface cut gone down the side of the muscle but was bleeding like f**k.
  16. A Porky Chop baked spud with a bit of Philadelphia cheese and a side salad, been trying to behave this week food and drink wise as I’m off to a beer festival tomorrow and I’m going to eat and drink everything lol
  17. I wouldn't declare that because there would be no way of proof that it was hurt working, bit I wouldn't be surprised with it being a running dog, certain injuries are exempt.
  18. Mate my dogs are an always have been off lead all year, an many of them went into old age fit an healthy
  19. Think if it’s summat serious I pay the first 250 an they cover the rest
  20. If ya dogs off the lead often enough it knows how to control its running unless game gets up, a dog that hardly off the lead and gets let off charges about like a bull in a china shop and ends up hurting itself there’s a difference ….
  21. Mine have, dogs will be dogs mateX especially running dogs, might have to pay a bit more of you put them down as working dogs, we had to with Plummer cos it was covered in rat bites but insurance never even doubled, so still worth it, but dogs need excersixed an accident happen
  22. All mine are insured too. Abby house at morley for after hours. Great vets. Not cheap but good vets.
  23. Will they cover running dogs getting leg injuries though? Like all over insurances, they are robbing c**ts as well and will do anything to get out of paying up.
  24. I tell a lie haha a local vet once called the rspca on a mate of mine who was “visiting” his terrier went missing an turned up at local vet an they wanted to be busy body cnuts, but moved vet obviously an never had no trouble since an had some pretty serious injuries and ailments with the dogs
