I had a good job with an engineering company but when marriage and family came along, I took Norman Tebbits advice, ( it was his funeral today), and got on my bike and made the momentous decision to seek my fortune abroad. Another good vets well used to be Richmond's in Dewsbury. Chap who owned it at the time. Used to say bring them through back door. Many lurcher and terrier men used him. Was a great guy. I had a lurcher lamping ones that impaled herself from chest on this fallen tree where rabbit had gone under. Was a f***ing mess. Went in stitched her up. Said to me get yourself a stamper next time and put a little bit of tube in just to drain the rubbish from the wound. Lucky it was just a surface cut gone down the side of the muscle but was bleeding like f**k.

I wouldn't declare that because there would be no way of proof that it was hurt working, bit I wouldn't be surprised with it being a running dog, certain injuries are exempt.

Mate my dogs are an always have been off lead all year, an many of them went into old age fit an healthy

If ya dogs off the lead often enough it knows how to control its running unless game gets up, a dog that hardly off the lead and gets let off charges about like a bull in a china shop and ends up hurting itself there’s a difference ….

Mine have, dogs will be dogs mateX especially running dogs, might have to pay a bit more of you put them down as working dogs, we had to with Plummer cos it was covered in rat bites but insurance never even doubled, so still worth it, but dogs need excersixed an accident happen

All mine are insured too. Abby house at morley for after hours. Great vets. Not cheap but good vets.

Will they cover running dogs getting leg injuries though? Like all over insurances, they are robbing c**ts as well and will do anything to get out of paying up.

I tell a lie haha a local vet once called the rspca on a mate of mine who was “visiting” his terrier went missing an turned up at local vet an they wanted to be busy body cnuts, but moved vet obviously an never had no trouble since an had some pretty serious injuries and ailments with the dogs
