Took the youngest fishing today...at the trent canal in newark next to the Barge pub...wich is handy for a drink or the bog...lol...he's catching plenty of skimmers as you fisherman call them ...roach chub..bream...dace....had a good perch on ...but it got off as he lifted it out...shame but there you go...

All depends what land you run , I've had runners for over 40 years and I've had sal dogs ,my brother runs them but he also keeps another type because his coursing dog would be smashed to bits in woodlands and my dogs work woods mostly

Think most saluki greys are like that when shown them the boot. Not many come back from when you try to give them the boot Lol. I learnt the hard way. Now the Stafford a could give her the boot all day long and she thinks it a f***ing game.

You really saying the sal bred dogs more hardy than others FFS I've had sal bred dogs that screamed when touched the wrong way and I'm sure overs can say the same , if want a hardy dog I'd go for terrier X or collie
