Tice has said he wants public spending to be 35% of GDP. That would mean austerity such as we've never seen. 275 billion pounds of cuts. Where would the axe lie? NHS? Education? Welfare? Pensions? With all due respect Wilf; that’s not an alternative. That’s throwing the towel in and accepting the status quo. Reform may turn out to be as bad as the rest, ( I fervently hope not), but we will never know unless we give them a go.
