  1. Looking forward to next month when I start the pike fest. I am assuming the water in question is Rother Vally Country Park and if so I had no idea there were big pike in there. Not sure which lake they are supposed to be in but if the sailing lake, we were never allowed to fish there but things may have changed of course. I would agree that cygnets are very well protected by the parent birds although I have actually seen a very big pike take an adult mallard right in front of me, my god it made me jump to say the least. I used to make a lot of pike flies but as the chinese started
  2. The nv range finders have been removed so the 008 units are now at £315 posted, if anyone wants a range finder on the 008, this can be done at the price shown in the advert. Phil
  3. Breathing control, try fuuly exhaled then fully inhaled and finally part in part out, I think it changes as we get older but 3/4 exhaled is about right for me. Phil
  4. My buddy has just bought the HW100BP .177 which is every bit as good as you would expect although very heavy. We set the scope zero at 30mt and shot out to 60mt, perfect tight groups.....................another winner.
  5. I can only agree Mark when it comes to Sub 12, they are as good as it gets matey, not forgetting the HW110 which seems to perform as well as the 100...........................I need another 110 in my life. Phil
  6. Stunning is the only word to describe what you have done here Jimmy but you already know my thoughts mate. Phil
  7. 2 x Pard 008 nv units View Advert I have two 008 units for sale, the one on the left is an 008P with giro to show if you are level and the other is an 008P without the giro, neither have had any software upgrades and are as factory settings. Both are in perfect working order and both are fitted with LE032 nv range finders. please note only one has a pard box. Manuals can be downloaded from the Pard official site and loads of youtube footage which I found easier. Please note these are advertised elsewhere so a first come first served basis. £365 EACH

  9. Jimmy, click on the arrow at the top right of the box below and the original thread will come up showing the details you want.
  10. I was very genously given by my shooting partner a Pard 008 with range finder attached when he had his license revoked and as I intend to sell my Sako Quad I will not be needing it. Now my buddy, Chris has also kept one 008 with a range finder fitted not the LRF models but has also decided to sell his so before I post the advert later this week, this is just a heads up to anyone likely to be interested, they will be about £350 each plus post but please understand any offers will have to go back to him for approval. Phil
  11. I love retirement it's the lack of income I don't like. Sorry to hear you have not been well Mark, I really hope you get back to being your old sarcastic self as soon as possible matey. Phil
  12. That's the one I gave you Jimmy, we need to look back and find the thread I posted regarding the 'Tip find', the gun I dumped and you had the stock.
  13. That is never Ethan in a million years Jimmy.
  14. 100% agree Jimmy Again 100% agree and when you consider I alo tested his HW110k last night at the same time, ten shots in a 15mm spot, no comparision.
  15. Looks like you right Mthe reg has just dropped its trousers leaving a pellet in the barrel. The gun was working to perfection in the RFD's range so less than a week later the gun is producing shotgun patterns with all pellets. I think my pal has just taken as much as he is going to and I am dropping the gun off to rfd tomorrow and my pal is going in on Wednesday to sort another gun which I doubt will be another FX.
  16. Must admit Jimmy, I don't use any kind of clamp, I just use the 'V' rest that it comes with as I don't feel the gun when it is in a clamp then it works for me. Phil
  17. Twat........................so many true words spoken in jest me thinks.
  18. That makes more sense after all why would you have different reg for each model, oh well the wait will be over next week all being well and testing will start on the new Crown.
  19. I wouldn't know Mitch, this is what Sportsman told my friend but they did say there were issues with the Impact reg, not FX regs but naming the models so perhaps in sub 12 could be different but who knows. I just hope the Crown is not another crock of shit as well as this is having a major impact to his mind set.
  20. Over the years I have enjoyed both my fac air rifles along with my .22lr, wmr and hmr but I am having a few thoughts recently about where my love lies. If I am completely honest, my 'go to' gun is the fac air and I really miss my .25 fac air soooooo I am now toying with moving on my Tikka .22lr and my Sako hmr and spare wmr barrel plus their respective Wildcat sound mods but my old head is in a bit of a spin as I am not too sure what to do. I am an FX rifle fan / user but the cost of buying another .25 FX to go with my .22 FX Wildcat does not come easily on a pension and selling them would g
  21. Welcome aboard Steve, I wondered why this old thread has showed itself again. Get involved and join in with us on here. Phil
  22. I cannot believe I am following this thread up with more bad news. After setting the new gun zero at 25mt, and taking my pal to go for a few ferals which he did well and built his confidence up after all the issues, today was the first day he has had free so off to one of our perms to work on holdover positions BUT checking zero at 25mt, the pellet was not even on the paper and in fact it was shooting approx 6'' low and to the left. My pal thought he must have nudged the scope either putting it in it's case or taking it out so time to set zero again.................................. not possi
