A little over twenty years ago , i had a friend how was a ICE officer . She never carried her glock when off duty.     When i asked why , she said ,she did not consider the level of firearms training she received to be of a good standard and didn't feel confident enough to carry while off duty.  I have looked at the clip of the latest shooting and it is clear the the man was on the ground and unarmed when he was shoot . It looks like the ICE officers are poorly trained and lack discipline .    Having said that if i still lived in America and had a carry permit ,  i would not be looking for a confrontation with law enforcement or anyone else .

The last shooting was messy. That’s the sort of event that needs properly investigating.

That said, he was carrying, interfering with law enforcement, and most likely resisting them. That is not a situation you want to find yourself in. They had no idea if he had a secondary firearm, and someone got twitchy.

MN looks like a really messy place to be conducting any kind of federal law enforcement right now. A lot of people carrying out coordinated resistance and an awful lot of genuine hate bubbling.

Cant help but think those responsible for the poor border control over the last 10-20 years share responsibility for these tragedies.

He is actually allowed to carry,he had a CWP and was 100% legal,the team of ice members who were involved in the debacle were out of Minnesota within 24 hours,sent elsewhere,the guy had both hands on the ground and was actually unarmed when he was shot,his weapon had been taken away.
