He goes to Tesco every night and they give him it all for free. The dogs got some of the beef and chicken, the rest went into the vat with water and fed the poultry. He gets more than he needs and said he will drop some off when he can. A lot of it was still in date, there must be a huge amount of food wastage in this country. Cheers. Years ago when i lived on site a skip run on a sunday to the super markets was a regular thing to do, a little story of one i went on in warminster at the tesco's. Sunday and i drove a marina van to the Tesco skip in Warminster from Salisbury as it was worth the 40 odd mile round trip and we weren't disappointed as me and a pal filled the van to the roof with all sorts of foods, sandwiches.fruit, dairy meats absolutely to much to list and all of it was in date. Filled the van and started to drive home and passed the old bill and got a tug, they lookedi n the van didn't believe us and we ended up in the nick waiting for the old bill to go get the manager of the Tesco's to go check we hadn't broken into the shop and robbed it, i told them if i had the van would have been full of booze and fags but that fall on deaf ears and it took fecking hours until they decided not to charge us with breaking into the shop but with theft out the skip, neither of us ever answered bail and don't know why but nothing ever came of it,but we did keep the food as the old bill had no where to keep it at there nick..Another time up in Deeside some lads went out to do a skip run and came back with a flat bed full of yogurts, hundreds and hundreds of them and we ended up having a massive yogurt fight and everything and everyone was pink and stank really sour.. 1 4 Quote Link to post

chartpolski 29,031
Same lad I got the Tesco stuff off gets a call now and again from Jollie’s pet shop and goes and collects all the split bags and damaged stuff. He gets all sorts of feed, dog, hen , cat, rabbit food, etc. He sells it at the allotments very cheaply, £5 for a sack of dog food, no matter what make or price it was originally. Ive had a couple of sacks of high protein complete dog food off him for the game fowl. I used to go to a big local bakery and I could get as much broken, misshapen loafs, biscuits , cakes , etc for free but last time I went they said it was now against the law to give it away and they had to pay for it to be taken away. Cheers. Quote Link to post

It was during the summer and honestly mate the pickup was covered and we were just ripping off the lids on the pots and chucking them at each other and we were just as pink and minging as the pickup was. We just pilled on the back of the pick up and drove to a ford at a not to far river and washed it all off and what a laugh that day was for sure , also probably the best wash some of us had had for a while fare to say ..... 1 Quote Link to post
