My Mrs does the same with her wrist and elbow,after the on set of arthritis,from an old horse riding accident...before doing it ,she used to wear a support

Onion and brown sugar makes a great cough syrup slice the onion across ways and layer in the sugar like a double sandwich stand in a bowl and the juice will start flowing couple of spoonfuls does wonders

The old rural gardeners used to nettle their hands for the screws

Must be a nice warming homely tingle of a morning, nature provides
