I have a foot in two camps,UK and Canada,I have to be honest my lifestyle in Canada is easier and more enjoyable,I think @tillylamp and @gazjon5 got it right by moving into what is an incredible country, you can fit the UK into it 40+ times, for a country lover its incredible, miles of true wilderness, i saw 200 acres of land advertised recently for 35k sterling.I also have a bit of land i bought years ago in Asia when I had an idea for a longterm lifestyle but circumstances and mindset change.
