It’s never easy watching pets get old .

Aye that's the truth. Dickhead is 11 next month. Still going strong but I can see him slowing down a bit. This fecking heat doesn't help.

@downsouth Condolences mate to you and the wee lass. She's showing true bravery and strength by being determined to be there to comfort the dog.

They've grown up like sisters together,My daughter is autistic and struggles with social anxiety but her dogs are the one thing that keeps her calm.Shes been able to control and handle her Gypsy better than most adults you see with dogs since she was 5 or 6.If it wernt for the fact she had her last week at school and a weekend away with her mum I'd have probably done it a week ago but although she spent 3hours cuddling her and crying last night she's determined she's coming to the vets this morning to comfort her whilst its done.Very brave and mature for a kid who struggles with so many day to day situations I think

what a truly brave well balanced daughter you had.......respect to her parents...

A sad topic but illustrated with beautiful pictures. Seeing your Gypsy from a pup, developing into an adult and then into dotage, with a loving bairn growing with her throughout the years. Very poignant.
