Arry 24,511
I remember 1976 the hottest year for 350years didn't bother me then. Was a slim racing snake doing ground works. Worst thing was the dust 4 inches covered the whole site we went home looking like the black and white minstrels. Now it gets to me and it's so humid. Blood hard getting a good nights sleep. Still if it was raining I suppose I would be moaning about that Lol. Cheers Arry

jukel123 9,230
I have good memories of 76. I was walnut brown working outside all day and freelancing harvesting at night. Then I would go home and take my turn at wiping my kids' arses and changing nappies at night. Happy days. I had boundless energy, but now, once it gets beyond 24 or so, I'm knackered. Not that it happens very often in Scotland. If the weather forecasters are right and we see increasingly warmer summers there's bound to be an exodus from the North to the South. I'll be long gone. So I'll get my "piss off home you soft southern b*****ds" whilst I can. Edited June 30 by jukel123
