When I was younger I was away from home a lot we had a male Shar-Pei not one of these baggy bags of shit you see nowadays, they were quite new to the UK when I had mine he was easy to train loyal very quiet but when it came to protecting 100% very very territorial, we had a situation when me and my wife was out and my early teens son was in alone some clown decided jump over our yard fence the dog destroyed him ripped his leg to f**k while my son was laying into him the intruder with a metal dog lead. Personally if you have guns be ready I’ve actually timed my own response if ever god forbid I need to protect my home.
