In most of these reports, the word 'probably' seems to be pretty common. Can certainly see why so many people doubt the veracity of many of these sightings. On the other hand, there are plenty of reports of sightings which are very believable. A photo found in a collection, with a hand written note with no date. At best it proves a released cat was seen in a certain area at an unknown time....not that big cats are living and breeding in the UK. At worst it's a cat photographed in a safari park and sent as a hoax....to and from unknown people at an unknown time.....hence why the recipient threw it in a box and it got stacked in a corner. If it is real it's really good and proves what a photo should look like.... especially since it was taken with old camera technology.
