I was interested in the theory of evolution by natural selection occurring in the UK in the 49 years since the DWAA came in,what’s caused a species to shrink?

It certainly isn't lack of prey species and again, it wouldn't happen that rapidly in something like a big cat, they don't have reproduction rates like bacteria, viruses or even insects. Perhaps they have evolved into house cats? Lol

Fck off I genuinely want to learn I'm not having 25 thl spackers walking behind us taking the piss 🤣🖕

Just my opinion, but bringing family into arguments , by ANYONE, is an absolute no-no. Cheers.

I'm on a couple of big cat sightings pages on Facebook.  80% of the pictures and videos are from idiots who can't see its obviously a normal cat , 10% is people posting insane good footage of cats cla

Footage has captured a big cat lurking around a skip in the dead of night, sparking fears that a large mystery beast may be on the loose in Buckinghamshire.

I'm all for big cats being out their but anyone thinks that's one in that video needs their eyes testing

certain camera angles can always make things look larger than they are

it's the same with thermals at night certain angles can make things look larger than they are you can't use them as complicate evidence either

the search continues ......

Scotty I neither believe or disbelieve I think it’s an interesting subject I’d love to see evidence with my own eyes I get out enough and I haven’t seen anything myself, but I see the above video yesterday morning and I had to post it as I new it would reignite the debate bit of mischief on my behalf lol 😂

The video stutters and overlaps making the cat look bigger, to me it’s just a fluffy large house cat. I’m on the group on Facebook and the fella who posted it was so vocal made it seem a bit underhand and the way the cat disappears into the skip that’s not empty doesn’t seem right if it was a big cat.

Im on the team of thinking and hoping there could be big cats in Britain and I believe people’s  encounters but I don’t think this is one.

Question……..why would a cat evolve in the UK at all, leopards are already the supreme predator, and why “evolve” into a smaller species?

How big is a snow leopard?? get bored of saying it but there are lots of sub species of leopard and all have evolved to fit in there particular environment ?? But you know that anyways

Your meant to be the specialist on big cats ..

You tell us why it is a big cat with a bit of evidence to back it up and not just the usual get out and look for yourself , open your eyes or the you know nothing attitude you have .. there's plenty on this site who would love to learn why big expert cats believe there here ect .. yet you come across on this subject very pompous and when anyone questions you you start the name calling ect ..

To be fair mare I’ve explained my position dozens of times on these threads I am not an expert on the subject I,m an enthusiastic amateur it’s not my job but I live in an area rich in sightings and activity so I collect bits I find and pass them on either to the uni or the podcast, the cat in the video has been studied frame by frame and the body length determined by a guy that’s spent his life doing this stuff and I choose to believe his methods over someone with a passing or no interest viewing it on a mobile phone and from my own personal perspective the legs are to thick and the body and tail to long for it to be anything other than what it is if I was more local I would have tried to examine the skip for hair samples but I’m not so can’t it is simply what it is and if you think it’s a house cat that is your prerogative by I don’t which is mine I get pissed off answering the same thing and dealing with pricks attempting to derail things at any cost so apology’s if you find me a bit abrupt but that’s me I don’t suffer fools

You talk about the snow leopard, you do know the snow leopard isn't a subspecies of leopard, it's a different species completely. And you do realise that it would have evolved over millions of years, come on mate now you must be having us on?

Come on now does he really believe we will fall for that, so now we have urban leopards rummaging through gardens. Won't be long before it's captured on film taking a dog or I dread to think, a child. This cat needs killing asap because now's it's encroaching on our neighbourhoods it is a clear threat to life.

Different species,it's adapted to the high peaks above the treeline, where prey is scarceit's like comparing apples and bananas.

I was actually wondering why a leopard population in a quarry rich environment like the UK would shrink in physical stature over a 50 year period, genuine question.
