I didn't move as otter can't see good.He made his way right to my feet.He was spinning in circles to catch his prey.It was strangely similar to a tactic that I've seen dolphins use.

I was in someone's garden one night:whistling:(and far to old to be doing that shit any more as it wasn't that long ago:laugh:) fishing for sea trout in a sluice pool where the river from the sea can't go any further and i had a otter come as close as that to me, i did wonder if they had poor eye sight as he was that close when he sussed me and soon did one when he knew i was there.

Otters vision is designed for seeing underwater not above. Its their only weakness in my opinion. If you don't move they generally can't see you more than 10 ft away. To give me an advantage I always wear neutral colors that match our tree leaves depending on time of year. This was what I was wearing today. No flashy colors.

Did 10 miles yesterday, went to the river looking for snakes, saw 4 but because of the heat they were really fast and slid off quickly, three garter and one milk snake, hundreds of leopard frogs everywhere. The cottontail here are unusually tame,it’s not difficult to get within a few feet of them.

The top pic reminds me a little of the pyramids of ghiza, first thing I thought of when I saw it,the background rock formation.

Had a really good 18km walk, sun is bouncing off the pavements, saw one snake but it was fast, hundreds of frogs along the path, every couple of steps one was jumping into cover.
