chartpolski 28,003
Listening to Sunak, this is the greatest country in the world, a positive utopia. Listening to Reeves, the country is a dystopian hell hole. I suspect the truth is somewhere in between. Cheers.

Id say everyone can go to work tomorrow breathing a slight sigh of relief anyway. Decent imho
Borr 7,927
Fuel frozen, keg beer 3p cheaper, strong spirits going up. A daft one in my eyes is reducing tax on internal flights, costing £35 million. Increasing taxes on flights over 5100 miles, locals flights will be about £1.50 cheaper?? Retired folk who work will be subject to national insurance rise Minimum wage increase, but low earners will fill the ni increase more and inflation... 11.5 billion to boost construction of housing.. I'd say it's okay, although not what you could call a green budget as they hyped it up as such..
chartpolski 28,003
Farage has just interviewed the CEO of Punch pubs. He said the 3 p per pint savings will not be taken off the price of a pint.......it will be used to offset other price rises such as the rise in the national wage, etc. So, just more smoke and mirrors, the drinker won't see any savings, in fact the price of spirits is going UP ! Much like the freezing of fuel duty.....they make it sound like a tax cut on petrol and diesel, in fact they are just not increasing the tax. Cant see anything in the budget that will improve the lives of working people or pensioners. Cheers.

tatsblisters 10,963
Seems to me all the money they are spending and all the taxpayers money they have wasted on track and trace the austerity measures they put in place like rising the pension age and stopping women getting their state pension at 60 was all a big fekin CON.
