Labour of love 👍… you can’t beat history in a building😎 …. I know I’m a bit mental , but do you not think about what’s gone on in that room through the centuries … blows my mind that’s why I love Roman Bath .

Oh yeah mate, i think about stuff like that all the time here..

My Mrs took her patents on a guided tour of Castle Drogo, it's a national trust place about 5 miles from us, the most modern proper castle in England...during the tour the guide asked my wife where she lived, when she said the village she new our house abd went on to give quite a lot of info about the place and how interesting historically it is...Mrs got a bit embarrassed, but yeah it's mad to think what has been seen in this house, there is priest hole in one of the walls back to Oliver Cromwell times...

40 years plastering mate rather do the prep work myself than have loads of bits when it comes to skimming so would generally do the lot myself even the decor after get everything out of the job lol

The cellar on this place is dated to 1054..started as a saxon long house ..pretty much something been done every century since (apart from wall paper) lol...

It's a quest, or a labour of love..im not sure which yet lol

Some serious history there , love seeing stuff like that

Bloody hell, I’ve just had a look, I hope it stays like that until I’ve got this house stripped out 👍

It should hold up a couple more weeks then they’ll drop it off before Christmas like they always do because they know the rush will be coming.
