By August I will know where I'm at That's what I wanted to do a few years ago , but when you look into it , it's not as easy as you'd imagine ( unless youre absolutely minted). I really fancied a canal boat , but the mooring charges were as much as renting a house , so I looked at buying a piece of land with my own mooring , but then you still have to get permission to moor your own boat , in your own mooring .

Exactly,my name's down on a few waiting lists for a mooring-when the right one comes up,we will go buy the boat...it don't matter if you got cash on the hip...there's always some cnut standing in the way

That's it mate you own nothing, a registered keeper of your car ,if you owned your house why would you need to jump through hoops for any modifications ? It's like being caught in a trap. When I was looking at buying woodland, I came across a couple of folks that just buy land with buildings already on there. They just live in a caravan , or in a barn etc , until the council find out , and try to move them , then they just buy the next chunk of land , and live there. They reckon, don't even bother wasting your time trying to fight the council. Just sell up and move on .

Stavross 16,878
Potting room screed finished, the customer came out to pay me and said they only had cash, would that be ok, I suppose so ( lol ) then on my way home I past the lad I helped out yesterday and he waved me down, said there wasn’t as much lead as he thought and went to give me 20 quid as well as the scrap, which I refused, took the lead and a little bit of copper, put it in on the way home and got 72 quid for it, not a bad way to finish the week off
