And we wonder why Irish folks want no part of Britain ?
Im starting to see the brain washing trickle in here slowly, Africans on the GAA adverts and that sort of thing…..inserting them into probably the most important cultural thing in Ireland is a completely deliberate act imho

Waiting with baited breath for the plethora of “happy mixed race family” adverts to start.

Luckily we are still a million miles from the U.K. in that regard but you can see what they are priming the National mind up for.

On the contrary. It's the only thing he's done in half a century in office that a lot of us agree with.

Trump wanted them out on May 1st. It's hard to call whether it would happened as he isn't the president any more.

So the question is....does anyone have a memory?

How active have the Taliban or Al qaeda been over the last few years?

It'll be the 'killing fields' out there soon. Exactly what this 'retreat' has been all about.

It seems obvious to me what has happened. Biden , is in the pocket of China , via meetings set up by Hunter Biden . They want to exploit Afghanistan’s rich “ earth metal “ deposits . Here’s a few million, get your troops out . It’s so corrupt, it’s so blatant . And yet the mainstream media refuse to acknowledge it

In February 2020 the Trump administration signed a conditional peace deal with the Taliban. All troops were to be withdrawn by May 1st 2021. The Trump administration used the 'ending foreign wars' pitch in his initial election and his bid for reelection. This policy bid saw several high ranking members of his security team resign because they disagreed with him.

Biden had actually put that timeline back to the end of this month, which is what we're seeing play out in real time.

Two decades and trillions of dollars, not to mention the dead and injured servicemen and women, and the hundreds of thousands of radicalized natives every time a drone strike took out a school, or a hospital.

We've all had enough of it. I reckon most of us will agree that it shouldn't have happened in the first place but I believe that once again this is down to incompetence rather than some global conspiracy.

And I’ve only just finished fashioning my helmet out of tin foil !!!!
What happened to the air support promised by Biden ? The way they pulled out just created a power vacuum , that has now been filled with ( largely peaceful and friendly, Taliban ) . I agree that we shouldn’t be there , but the way this has happened is shambolic .

n my very humble and uneducated opinion, when you look, the history of Britain’s treatment of Ireland has been one ill thought out, callous and pig headed blunder after the other.

We are talking about acts committed against your own people so petty, heartless, cruel and greedy that nobody in their right mind would tolerate it…….and for what ?

So we could throw our own nation down the toilet…..what exactly did we achieve by treating our own people that way ?

How many times on this forum have we said that there is more that unites us than divides us? How many times have we called them out for being incompetent liars and waste of our money?

How many times have we said it isn't you versus me. Or me versus him... It's them versus us?

I love England. I love Ireland. I love America. I cannot stand the collective governments of either. While the people continue to vote for same people that made these messes in the first place it will continue to play out as it always has. How's the definition of insanity described?

The consensus of specialist military commentary to date has been that this administration has carried on the former administrations policy and stance towards china. And I'm not talking BBC/CNN, I'm talking specialist defence media sources that 99.9% of the public don't even know exist, much less pay attention to.

The first real defining act in this policy area for the Biden administration was to send two CSGs east as is typical of peacetime gunboat diplomacy. And as you say, they have followed through with broadly the same Afghan strategy as what the Trump administration had.

Well here's the kicker... I wouldn't be surprised if they don't end up sending a few thousand more troops to oversee the withdrawal. As far as Biden goes who knows? He certainly doesn't until someone hands him a cue card.
