A good slipper wouldn't slip on a poor hare for the simple reason they were testing dog against dog, not dog against hare.

You wanted the hare to test the dogs to their limit....not a quick kill.

Cheers.

Correct sir he got the call if he slip to early he’s got trouble coming

explain then please mate doubled is alot easier to kill the hare yes ? 2 dogs running

but a single handed dog has a better catch rate ?

is that because the doubled handed dogs are better at it ?

Say red collar wins the run up, and gains the initial points, as the course unfolds points are added or deducted from red collar, once the course is completed red collar will be either plus or minus points, and the winner declared, owd Lepus has a role, but a catch isn't important the way it is in single handed coursing
