Been reading the set of books by Ron Thompson who is reputed to have shot thousands of Elephants in what used to be Rhodesia and the black rhino capture he was involved in stalking rhino's in the early day's within 10yards to get a dart into them.

This book is really worth a read, all the more for me as I know some of family's mentioned and pieces together some village history.

Never read any of his books tbh mate though i used to enjoy his articles in the Earth Dog Running dog mags.

You've had personal dealings with him I take it bb.

Some good terrier accounts in that book thought he came across as quite knowledgeable.
