A Way out of Walsall - D. Brian Plummer (1985)

Recommended Posts

Does anybody have the Barry Cockroft documentary 'A way out of Walsall' about D. Brian Plummer training lads to box ?? (I know he'd be ya last choice as a mentor..)

Been searching for it for ages with no luck.

If anyone can point me in the right direction it'd be greatly appreciated and if anyone has a copy I'll pay for it.

Thanks,

Sam.

Agree with that mate and though he failed to keep me out of jail he gave me something to read while I was there ?

On reading the original post , my first instinct was to poke a bit of fun or mock any notion of his boxing prowess. Anyone who steps in the ring and gets paid is a “professional “ . The fair used to t

There’s a great little bookshop in NEWTON  STEWART,  Dumfries and Galloway, don’t know the name but worth a search. Good luck. Jok.

I didn't know about a book shop in Newton Stewart but a few miles down the road in Wigtown there was a couple of book shops that specialised in country books, don't know if they are still there.

Think the OP is looking for a film

Yeah 'Lone Furrow' and 'The Hunting man' are on there. Watched them both a few times but according to Wikipedia a third documentary was filmed called 'A Way out of Walsall' about Plummer training lads to box. Searched all over but cannot find it anywhere.

Thanks for the reply.
