I can recall when my first mate committed suicide, I rang my other mate about it and we chatted for a hour or two about that and other things. He kept on mentioning how he wished he'd chatted to the lad to try and help him out, saying he'd felt the same before and had now seen the light. Fast forward around 3 months and he did exactly the same. Both were loose cannons but both and strong characters, completely in shock for both. Would talking to them before they did it actually stop them or would it be a case of delaying the inevitable? You have got to find the strength inside as nobody can be with you 24/7.
