White working class males perform worse in education than any other demographic, that's no accident in my opinion. and I would like your post but ran out of them.

Some of them are caused the the corrupt f*ckers who were being paid to take problem families from other parts of the UK including (if you can even believe this but it's true) John Venables who was moved to SW Anglesey but has probably been moved elsewhere now since everyone knows about him. The Island is amazing...amazing countryside and great fishing on tap and it boggles my mind people can live here, not enjoy it and destroy their lives instead. Same down here in SW Wales, councils get money to take in scumbags that can't function anywhere else for whatever reason. Frequently see all this county lines drugs arrests in the local news reports too
chartpolski 20,408
I find threads like this one disparaging the UK, and the other one that mocks supervisors and middle management a bit disheartening ! Are things REALLY that much worse than they were 10/20/30/40 years ago ? During my lifetime we've had the end of WW2, rationing, mass unemployment, the miners strikes, the winter of discontent, etc. If it wasn't for this damned Covid, I reckon right now wouldn't be a bad time to be British. I spent most of my working life living and working abroad, and I know that British expertise is still greatly sort after and British qualifications are recognised throughout the world ! I've been retired 17 years, live modestly in a nice suburb of a major city, and I'm happy with my lot , am I just lucky ? Cheers. Yes and so have I been but I will tell you for a fact that if you were 20 years old there is virtually zero chance of having the life that you or I have led now. I work in the oil industry (or what's left of it) and you would be wasting your time to get engineering or geology qualifications to go into it now, the vast majority of those jobs go to foreign nationals and we've wrecked our own Oil industry by not supporting it. Also middle management are retards that generally cannot work in their field so f*ck them.

Personally I think they should make weed legal and separate those people from the hardcore class A drug people, the former is not a big deal but the latter is.

So if a really hard working lad came to work directly and he turned up in matching trackies and cheese strings would that be end of the road for him !lol

If you do have a genuine interest you will be good at it.. I disagree . My attitude is always put 100% effort into work at all times no matter if it's sweeping the floor or rebuilding an engine .. That's maybe why I never struggle for work. I worked at a place through an agency as a fork truck driver to cover some one off sick and the company were that impressed they made a permanent position for me , and then promoted me to machine operator in less than 6 month, above anyone who worked there , not bad for someone who didn't have a clue how to operate the machines when I first started .

The prob today alot of people will take the easy way out, in life and in doing so don't succeed.
