In a topic that involves ,football ,and NUFC  , Max could make Greb seem like a reasonable chap who doesn't like a never ending argument .

He'd have a saluki and a white bed sheet bought the day they took over.

Given that no one agrees with you I’d suggest it ain’t. Its Max-sense and Max-morals.... Part of the greater world view that is Maxology

When the fire station on the West Road closed, the local Asian community tried to buy it to turn it into a mosque. They were told they had a big mosque on Elswick road, and permission was denied .

A congestion charge was mooted, but dumped in favour of a toll on the Tyne bridge and the swing bridge.

I think that will sound the death knell for many businesses in Newcastle and Gateshead, why pay to get into town and then pay for parking, when you can go to the Metro Centre or Kingston Park for free ?

Cheers.

What ever happened to the High Level bridge? Closed for repairs but when re-opened  deemed unsound for road traffic other than buses ?

I wrote to my MP asking her to contact the EPLregarding the failed takeover.

This is the reply I got, and the letter she sent to the EPL;

Very quick and satisfactory reply. The Newcastle MPs are treating this very seriously.

Cheers.

Over 30 different mps have also written to the fa asking for answers I don't think masters was expecting this volume of support for the take over and as you pointed out earlier charts they have hosted boxing /wrestling /tennis/ golf even the supercoppa italiana even the biggest fight in British heavy weight boxing is over here  I think it's only a matter of time

Back to football, whatever the eventual outcome of this will be too late to effect recruitment. I just hope that Ashley does not cash in on Dubravka and Saint - Maximin, our price assets. Even though it was Dubravka and Andy Carroll who saved games and prevented relegation this season.

Did you write back and say your not a Nufc supporter Charts and that you just have ties to Saudi ?

I explained in my original letter that I had a foot in both camps; I want to see the investment in The wider Newcastle area, and also that I had Saudi family members. Full and honest disclosure.

Cheers.

Over 40 MPs have now written to the EPL and Ian Lavery, Labour MP, has said if they fail to give satisfactory answers, it will be put in the hands of the Media, Culture and Sports Select Committee to demand answers.

Cheers.

No one's fault, fury gave up his license because he was caught lieing after being caught cheating

Mate, you won't get a proper answer off max concerning fury. He has a habit of contradicting himself about fury, or just continues to ignore questions etc about fury, that he simply can't answer.

Again, only a couple of pages back, fury 'is the best heavyweight this country had ever produced'. Lol, the guy's fought no-one of note, apart from an over the hill klitshko that refused to let his hands go during most of the fight, and fury kept running from. Like I said a few weeks ago, the only heavyweight fight I've seen worse than that was akinwande v lewis lol.

And what other 'big name' has fury fought? f****n wilder!! ?. The guy can't box, period. Seriously mate, have a look at wilder's last 10-15 fights, and see how poor they all were, same regarding fury really. Then have a look at joshua's or lewis' records, and note the difference in quality and record of opponents. It's quite a startling reality, that a lot of people on here will not like to aknowledge ?

I should know that by now really, he definitely won't accept it's Fury's fault ?

I honestly don't know, mate !

Theres a wall of silence from the EPL, but surely they'll have to issue a statement with all the pressure they are under, but they could just go down the "confidentiality" route and say a lot, but tell us nothing !

My own take on it, and I stress, it's just my opinion, is that the EPL found themselves between a rock and a hard place......refuse the takeover and piss of the Saudis and possibly cause a diplomatic incident; OK the takeover and piss off the Qataris and some of the "elite" teams that didn't want another big player in the league.

So, they just sat on their hands and hoped that one of the parties involved would pull out, which is what has happened, but they never expected the shit storm that followed !

What happens next is anyone's guess? The EPL could say they will ok the deal, but knowing the Saudis, they could just say "f**k you, we can spend our money elsewhere " ! Or the deal could be resurrected and Newcastle suddenly becomes one of, if not THE, richest clubs in the world.

Or the EPL could say the Saudis aren't fit and proper to be owners and show some guts !

Or they could simply keep prevaricating and hope to ride out the storm !

Who knows ? I'd like to see the deal go through, but if it doesn't, it won't affect my life !

Cheers.

Cheers charts even if the Saudis pull out I can see the rubens and staveley putting another offer forward she's ambitious if nothing else it would be a shame if it didn't happen just on the local investment alone
