Yes mate, he was.

Only 7, i expected to get a lot longer out of him. A good honest dog and just about the easiest and most loyal dog i've owned.

you did right by the dog , lost three in a few months about 4 years ago , two in the vets , one of which was in similar circumstances to yourself.

The dog had been having cream put on his arse to sort that, as the vet couldn't do any internal checks and by this time, his ring had calmed down, so the vet checked the prostate. She found the enlarged prostrate but sadly found a much bigger lump next to it and which probably was causing the enlargement.

A scan and a biopsy confirmed the worst, a tumor and the best course of action was to let a sleeping dog lay... He never woke up... Gutted

When your dealt such a blow the best thing you can do is get back in the ring...  But i'll get the Christmas over and start seeing whats about.

Fancy sommat with about 50% good coursing blood...

I agree with you saying about being dealt a shit blow an getting back in the ring I’ve experienced a few with dogs over the last few seasons things have happened You can’t change you have to push forward as time stands still for no man

real bloody shame that, chin up paul, yeh best to get another pup in the new year , i know you like drop bull in your lurcher , bull x gery x  coursing dog, prob be spot on for you mate , speed good wind and bit of grit in it .

Pictures from last year, stopped posting any new pictures now but yes doing really well I fill the freezer everytime we go out, will be lining the bitch this year with a very good well bred collie greyhound just waiting for her to break down
