I was thinking more of burning the shit we put in landfill and cleaning the smoke before it’s emitted into the air......they can probably do that already, but I don’t know.

That way it could drive power stations.

When you burn Rubbish in a Destructor it is easily filtered but you are left with hazardous waste  [Heavy Metals ] which is difficult and expensive to deal with , if the said waste can be sorted and recycled  most of the waste problem can be overcome . The real problem is that most people will not tolerate a large Chimney in their area no matter how much the smoke has been filtered

I don't believe any of the stats from either side. Those that refuse to believe in global warming are motivated by money through capitalism and fossil fuels, those that are pushing the climate ag

I was waiting on Greta morphing into Hillary and start chanting “impeach the motherfucker” as her face was all distorted with rage and hate. Her mum and dad are vegans and are letting their daughter b

Perhaps you've just proved the point exactly....we will all carry on regardless...and our planet will suffer, of course it will, we breed like rats and live in filth.... its what we are, it's a passin

A couple of interesting links  one is about the logarithmic effect of co2 the other about the effect of cloud cover on  global temperature  both contradictory to the narrative being peddled.  The cloud cover one is important because if we believe that the earth is warming then we expect there to be higher precipitation, the problem with that and the present narrative is that precipitation causes cooling lol

Reminiscing about your days in the pit king? I wouldn't want my kids working down there...got to have heavy industry but there's better ones , whatever is said there will be damage to the environment but we should be exploring new tech and skills training educating and bringing Britain back to a position where we lead the world in services and technology......

i never set foot under ground mate.done a bit in open cast's though.

3 train's a day were going out.1500 ton per train.£100 per ton.£150k per train.£450k per day for 3 train's.crazy amount of money..

A lot of the valleys and surrounding areas are only recovering from mining now, regards pollution etc, fish coming back to rivers. I'd rather the mountain bike /tourism and fishing than slag heaps and dead streams....

it's a strange scenario mate.as you know the only reason the villages are there is because of the pit's.and now the pit's are gone.and nothing has replaced them.

the same in yorkshire etc. it's a shame but it's no doubt in the past now and part of history..

Funny I often go to Durham Miners Gala where lads still march to their colliery bands and recall the struggle against Thatcher. But  with the benefit of hindsight coal had to go for environmental reasons. If only Thatcher had put money into regenerating the coal mining  areas to provide jobs instead of just destroying it all. Bitch.
