I found some interesting facts about baby naming around the world.......

In France, you can't call your child Nutella, Strawberry or Mini Cooper. The registrar is duty bound to report any child's name that could harm the child's wellbeing, or "lead to a lifetime of mockery" !

In Iceland, it isn't possible to call you son Ludwig or Enrique.............because the Icelandic alphabet doesn't have a Q or a A.

In Germany, gender neutral names are not allowed and you can't call your child Osama bin Laden or (not surprisingly) Adolf Hitler.

In Switzerland, you can't give a boy a girl's name, and vice versa. Biblical villains and brand names are also non gratis. Do some odd reason, you also can't call your daughter Paris !

 

In Denmark, there is a list of around 7,000 approved names and you must gain permission to use any 'odd' names..........though, weirdly, Odd is quite a common Christian name over there.

In Sweden, Superman, Elvis and Metallica are no-no's and, without a hint of irony, you can't chose IKEA !

Finally, in Mexico don't even think about calling your children Facebook, Batman and/or Rambo !
