Hawthorn hedges can be a bit tricky for a dog that risks all for a strike...

'Ol one eye...

They were best friends forever. She tried to spend every minute with him, and he'd of died for her...

He's a nice one its good having a dog that'll work and be good round kids family

It was not something I engineered. I don't believe kids and dogs always get on. But these two were just strangley drawn to each other.

She would spend every spare moment with him, and he, had the most calm relaxed manner around her, from the minute she was born. It was lovely to see...

Broke her heart when he went. She has pictures in her room.

bred and how did it  turn out?

That pup was bred by Joe Ox. Possibly the best all rounder I've seen, never mined owned...

He really was mCH, took everything I put in front of him, fur or feather. Another easy dog to own and run 👍

Such a cleaver dog. He was mustard on feather. Partridge a specialty. Learned how to take pink foot geese, stalking them along a hedge, then a lightening burst and a huge aerial. RFHD both day and night...

Morning, taken a step back from quad bikes and hounds - Don’t need the grief anymore. Having moved house my country has changed, curious of those that do hunt the hills with their lurches and a terrier at your heel, how do you bring them on? Getting the right dog for the job is no brainier but what about the training? Thanks.

      **sorry for the double post**
I know I'm probably going to get the piss severely ripped out of me for asking this, but
Has anyone ever successfully trained a deaf lurcher (from two working parents and I own her 4 year old sister who is an awesome little bunny basher.)
Genetically she has potential, but...what do you experts think?
She's not a Double merle by the way, it's extreme piebald/white head. Her vision is perfect
