I've been out with him once lamping and my uncles mate been out a few times with him. I forgot the name of the dog I seen, it was a big brindle dog with a head like a skip. Killed a big pig by the time he'd slipped it to getting to it, it was straight in the puddings, game over.

Each to their own isn't it, I'm not as heartless as I used to be so that game wouldn't interest me anymore tbh.

I was told since that his early dogs, billy, Bryn where better dogs but I think he ended up breeding off Stan most the time an that had a dash a saluki in it so obviously had a higher percentage of curs thrown. Know a couple a lads who swear by it but between a few of us we went through a few tk get a good un an never got one haha

Morning, taken a step back from quad bikes and hounds - Don’t need the grief anymore. Having moved house my country has changed, curious of those that do hunt the hills with their lurches and a terrier at your heel, how do you bring them on? Getting the right dog for the job is no brainier but what about the training? Thanks.

      **sorry for the double post**
I know I'm probably going to get the piss severely ripped out of me for asking this, but
Has anyone ever successfully trained a deaf lurcher (from two working parents and I own her 4 year old sister who is an awesome little bunny basher.)
Genetically she has potential, but...what do you experts think?
She's not a Double merle by the way, it's extreme piebald/white head. Her vision is perfect
